At that moment, Guanglinzi clenched his teeth and said, “I’m not going to yield even to you!”

It was only then that he realized that he truly bit off more than he could chew. He finally realized why Sha Tongshen was so furious when they fought each other.

All that fury was due to one such big boss hiding in the midst of the village.

He then recalled the village being the Lu Clan’s village, as well as that man before him named Lu Xuan.

It was unthinkable to just dispose of that undead king’s body without a thought. Being tainted from even a single drop of its fluids would quickly turn one into a jiangshi.

Jiangshi usually needed to bite their victims to spread the infection, but the likes of undead kings had such potency spread all over their bodies; a single touch was more than enough to spread the infection.

The people of the village were dazed by the sight before them. They were all fully aware of just how capable that undead king had been moments ago, who was so powerful that even Sha Tongshen ended up at a disadvantage. Even so, the undead king was unable to withstand even a single hit from Lu Xuan.

Although they knew little to nothing about cultivation, they nonetheless came to realize at that moment why Guanglinzi was so terrified by Lu Xuan’s appearance.

It became apparent to everyone that Lu Xuan was of an extraordinarily high level among the cultivators.

Guanglinzi burst with a beam of light and fled all the way to the external fringes of the village while the chaos continued. He had neither the time nor energy to spare even after losing such an undead king as a weapon.
