Chapter 250 - Trade (1/2)
The figure was a woman with a voluptuous figure and dressed in noble robes from the Western middle ages.
The woman sported a typical western appearance. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She looked extremely alluring and spoke fluent Huaxian.
“Never thought I’d find you here, Lilith,” Lu Xuan said. He recognized the woman, who looked very young, before him.
She was none other than one of the three elders of the Vampiric Empire—Lilith.
Among the three elders of the empire, Lilith’s rank was actually higher than Count Dracula’s.
In truth, Lilith was actually far more ancient than the Count as well.
Count Dracula achieved fame in Eastern Europe about 1,000 years ago, and he remained the most well-known and talked-about vampire even in modern times.
In actuality, however, he was only ranked third throughout the entire empire of vampires.
His fame was maintained throughout the centuries only because he was the one elder who managed the day-to-day affairs of the empire for a very long time.
Lu Xuan knew very well that there were two other vampires in the empire that were even older than the Count; they were even more powerful as well.
All of that originated from memories in his past life.
In truth, all three of them had been in slumber back in his past life. They had had yet to be awakened.
It became obvious that Lu Xuan’s reincarnation brought with it a butterfly effect of sorts.
However, Lu Xuan nonetheless met one of the three elders of the Vampiric Empire in his past life, and he knew the woman to be Lilith.
Legends had it that the ancestor of the vampires was Cain’s mate, who was of immeasurable power and well above that of Count Dracula.
Lu Xuan was able to realize all of this tracing such thoughts, as Lu Xuan killed the Count, who had been one of the three elders of the empire of vampires, after all.
There was just no way the empire would have just kept sitting on their hands, especially when the Dark Bible had fallen into Lu Xuan’s hands.
Those vampires were most probably furious at the moment.
That was what led to the abduction of Lu Xuan’s father, demanding the Dark Bible be returned.
The Dark Bible was deemed one hell of a treasure to other cultivation forces, more than enough to get them to do stupid things.
In the case of the Vampiric Empire, however, the Dark Bible was deemed something that they had to take back at all costs. It was one of the cornerstones maintaining the empire’s existence.
“I didn’t know that you knew of me, Mr. Lu. It’s indeed a pleasure.”
Lilith’s smile was alluring. She appeared to be completely at ease and seemed not to have much of a regard for Lu Xuan, who continued to emanate a terrifying aura before her.
“You vamps are some bold *ssholes indeed. What gave you people the courage to stand before me, eh? That guy from Ningxia?” Lu Xuan flashed a smile, which was filled with cold malice.
“It’s simple. I’m here to trade, Mr. Lu. The Dark Bible for your father. The book belongs to us of the Vampiric Empire, after all, and it serves no use to you humans,” Lilith elaborated casually. She kept her gaze locked onto Lu Xuan.
She went against the protests in her attempt, opting to declare war against him instead of simply looking for him.
That was because she had been studying that battle between Lu Xuan and Count Dracula over and over.
Her studies led her to be wary of what Lu Xuan was capable of.
Despite being a seasoned veteran with numerous battles under her belt, she did not dare to say that she was absolutely able to beat Lu Xuan.
Furthermore, she deemed that human to be too dangerous, given how he was so frighteningly young despite being so formidable.
