Chapter 139 - The Song Clan Has a Death Wish (1/2)

Lu Xuan’s ability to raze sects or clans single-handedly was a testament to his terrifying combat prowess.
The so-called “Clan-razing Force” that he possessed was not how one would have named the levels conventionally; it was a title bestowed only on someone with powers befitting the use of such a title.
While powers between individuals naturally differed greatly at every level, at the current stage, the only level of beings that were undoubtedly capable of such clan-razing feats were those at the Deity level.
Only beings at the Deity level would be able to single-handedly knock out a clan or sect.
Many had claimed that Lu Xuan possessed such a level of power, but what had happened right before the eyes of the crowd truly cemented the fact that Lu Xuan was indeed capable of such godly feats.
Such a level of power meant that many cultivators saw him as little different from a walking nuclear bomb.
He truly had become the nuclear bomb among cultivators.
Cultivators hardly feared weapons like nuclear bombs, as everyone knew that such weapons would never be deployed without very, very good reason. Yet cultivators comparable to nuclear bombs did not have such restrictions on their actions. The biggest difference between such cultivators and nuclear bombs was that the cultivators were able to do as they pleased.
A nuke that could be deployed without a care at a moment’s notice proved to be something that struck intense fear in the hearts of many.
“Mr. Lu really is something!”
Some young cultivators within the Seven Invincible Sect felt incredibly envious after seeing what had happened before them.
“I guess no one will ever doubt Mr. Lu’s status as the number one in all of Min Province. Not after this particular battle.”
All the other fighters looked on with a glum, severe expression. Their presence represented the cultivators throughout the country, after all. While not every notable force found throughout the country was present at the event, the influence of those who were present would nonetheless allow them to spread tales of the battle all over the country.
That one single battle was more than capable of shocking the community of cultivators throughout the country. Deity-level fighters, who were seen by many as beings up in the heavens, were no longer wary of each other, and they were no longer reluctant to go for each other’s throats.
That battle had ended with the death of one Deity-level fighter right there and then, after all.
The process of that battle had made the fighters realize that if they had not seen what happened with their own eyes, there would have been no way for them to tell just how fearsome such Deity-level beings were.
One could touch godhood by training in martial arts. That familiar saying was no longer just a saying. It became a cold, hard fact, proven by real examples.
The saying rang especially true to the National Guardians who were present at the scene, as they were not all that far off from reaching such a level themselves.
The might and prowess demonstrated by the two who fought that day would one day become theirs.
The powers that those two Deities possessed would be theirs in the future, too.
Lu Xuan took a look at the crowd and went down the mountain, looking indifferent all the while. The Special Task Force would come up there and clean the place up soon enough. What happened among cultivators stayed among cultivators, as their existence was not yet public knowledge.
Yun Sheng and the Square-faced Fatso were relaying the urgent news from halfway up the mountain.
They never expected to see such levels of firepower being used. That was totally beyond what the government would tolerate. From what they were able to tell, the Holy Dragon Corporation had gone crazy, and so had the Song Clan.
At the very least, it was clear to all that the Song Clan had been so wary and frightened of Lu Xuan’s powers that they were willing to face the wrath of government authorities just so that they could use that level of firepower—something considered absolutely off-limits—to get rid of Lu Xuan.
“The Song Clan has really, truly gone nuts this time,” Yun Sheng mumbled to himself.
He just watched a battle of an incredible level on satellite broadcast earlier, and he knew that battle was utterly beyond his capacity to interfere in, even though he already became a Martial Arts Legend.
The gap between him and those two Deities was still far too vast.
“Mr. Lu is really beyond human now,” the fatso said with a shocked expression. It had only been a few months since he had met Lu Xuan for the first time, yet Lu Xuan’s power had already reached a level that was totally beyond his comprehension.
That strength was far beyond what he was even able to fathom.
