Chapter 134 - Invincible Under Providence (1/2)

All of them were able to sense just how powerful National Guardian level fighters were, and they were certainly far more fearsome than the Martial Arts Legends that had passed by earlier.

Figures like these caused great pressure just by zipping past.

Lin Sheng, who was a Martial Arts Legend, felt his entire being tense up. It felt difficult to even flinch, making it obvious just how overwhelming the effect of level superiority was.

It was not until the monk left that he was finally able to breathe easily.

The threat that lingered in his mind, however, felt even stronger. If that monk were truly out to kill him, there would be nothing he could do about it.

The difference between them was unthinkably huge.

“Such might. It’s scary!”

One of the disciples of the Seven Invincible Sect exhaled heavily, feeling as if he had been nearly shocked to death.

At that moment, yet another group of people came by. The crowd saw that the group consisted only of bald men. They were none other than the monks of the Southern Shaolin Temple. One of the two leading figures was Master Buyi of the Dharma Hall, who unlike the other monks was often seen outside the temple.

The other leading figure was an older monk who stood slightly in front of Monk Buyi.

“Greetings, masters,” the elder in white said right away.

“Greetings, masters,” Lin Sheng said in response.

Although Monk Buyi had become a Level Six Martial Arts Legend, there was only one among the group of monks from the temple who was a true National Guardian.

It was the current abbot of the Southern Shaolin Temple, Master Bushuo.

“Amitabha. Greetings, benefactors. I assume that you’re all here to watch the battle too?” Master Buyi said, bowing in a Buddhist manner.

“Indeed we are. Are you all here to watch the battle as well? How about we travel together, then?” Lin Sheng said.

The Seven Invincible Sect shared an amicable relationship with the Southern Shaolin Temple, unlike their relationship with the Chen Clan. To be totally honest, this was mostly because they did not dare to get on the bad side of the temple.

The Southern Shaolin Temple had always remained neutral and taken an uncaring stance with regard to the ongoing conflict between the Seven Invincible Sect and the Chen Clan.

“We shall travel together, then.”

Master Buyi thought for a little bit and nodded swiftly.

He seemed to have caught onto what Lin Sheng was thinking about. There were simply too many formidable fighters around them. Without a National Guardian around, they would all end up easily wiped out if they got into trouble with anyone.

The visitors from the Chen Clan came to them not long after that. The now-massive group made their way up to the mountain.

By that point, faces were seen everywhere at the peak of Mount Qingyun. All of them were exceptional cultivators, and they came from everywhere. Despite some places being inherently difficult and precarious perches, even those spots were taken up by ones who found standing in such places easy.

The places taken were organized according to cultivation levels. Those of greater training were able to get closer to the center, while those lacking in their training had to stand further away.

There were actually over a dozen formidable National Guardians seen up front. All of them were formidable fighters who’d come from all over the country just to witness a legendary fight of such unimaginable levels.

At the center of a small, flat plateau at the peak, a skinny elder was standing with his hands behind his back. It felt as though he was a pillar supporting the heavens just by standing still, so much so that one would have thought that his aura shot all the way into the clouds.

It was a pressure brought forth by overwhelming power.

Even those formidable National Guardian-level fighters were wary of the elder’s aura, wary enough to keep their distance from him.

Everyone dared only murmur in their discussion; no one dared to raise their voice.
