Chapter 130 - Kill Him Again (1/2)

On a road in the villa under the moonlight.

Lu Xuan and Lin Miaoyi walked side by side. The moonlight shone on both of them, which made them look like a match made in heaven.

“Didn’t expect you to be that legendary Mr. Lu,” Lin Miaoyi said. Her voice sounded crisp and pleasant.

“There’re lots of things that you can’t imagine going on out there,” Lu Xuan grinned and said.

While Lin Miaoyi was one of the reasons why his family died back in his past life, Lu Xuan never resented her. It was never intentional on her part, and she did help him a lot later in his past life.

Lu Xuan felt rather sentimental recalling his past, very eventful life. While he had indeed made a lot of friends throughout the world, he had also made a lot of enemies.

He was unable to even remember just many powerful enemies he had killed personally. But then again, the path of a Celestial Lord had always been an almighty yet lonely one. It was a path that was destined to be bloody, as only by doing so would it be possible for him to emerge on top of all other powerful ones.

It was ridiculous to think that everyone could get along and decide who was to become the Celestial Lord in a peaceful manner, after all.

Lin Miaoyi was able to sense the kindness that he showed her was not one stemming from admiration like those of her pursuers. It was the kind that felt surreal; it was as if they were old friends.

She did not know why she felt that way, but that was what she felt, and as such, she was able to relax.

“Things are unpredictable, indeed.” Lin Miaoyi nodded in agreement. If anyone were to tell him that Lu Xuan was that renowned Mr. Lu, she definitely would not have believed it.

While many had heard of things about that Mr. Lu, there were actually few who had truly seen him in the flesh.

Many had the impression of him doing things in a high-profile manner, yet it was totally the opposite when it came to his personal daily life. Many were still at the stage of having heard of him but had never met him.

Lin Miaoyi recalled how her mother introduced him to her back then, and her mother actually commented that he was but a kid from a very ordinary family. She found it rather funny thinking about it now.

He had agreed to attend the matchmaking meet-up because she was bored, and she had never expected that the man that she had thought of as just a common folk was actually a godlike dragon in human form.

That was made her feel the most surreal was that very feeling of her perception having been turned upside down.

“So, you were the one who killed Luo Kun, then?”

Lin Miaoyi paused and hesitated for a bit, but still inquired eventually, even though she long knew the answer deep down.

“That’s right.”

Lu Xuan nodded.

Lin Miaoyi took a deep breath and recalled the time of Luo Kun’s death. At the same time, she felt shocked at just how swiftly Lu Xuan made his move.

That young man who wore a faint smile before her definitely was not as harmless as his appearance suggested.

He would probably do away with just about anyone that he saw as a threat.

She recalled how the Luo Clan seemed to have retreated from the province almost entirely as of late, and then the deaths of that man from the clan. She finally realized why the Luo Clan had to do what they just did without clashing with Lu Xuan head-on.

There was no way she would have believed that a giant like the Luo Clan would have had to go out of their way to avoid just one man if she had not seen it herself.

The losses they suffered were definitely big enough to make them evade him as they did.

While both the Lin Clan and the Luo Clan served under the Taichu Group, and both clans worked on a lot of occasions, that did not mean that both clans were close. Those two clans were actually rivals in many ways.
