Chapter 110 - Delusion-breaker Eyes (2/2)

Lu Xuan had his back facing the crowd below as his eyes glittered with a golden sheen. It was an effect of his born taoism aptitude, which was also one of the godly abilities inherent within such a constitution.

The ability was named the Delusion-breaker Eyes.

No illusions or falsehood could escape the gaze of those eyes. The maze was only useful for messing up mental states of common folks, but to someone who possessed the Delusion-breaker Eyes like Lu Xuan, he was able to see through all secrets with just a single look.

However, Lu Xuan turned the ability off as soon as he was done, as using such an ability came with a huge cost in Spiritual Qi, and he was actually just trying things out.

When he reached the very pinnacle of his cultivation, those eyes had allowed him to peer into the heavens and the hell alike. Few things had been able to escape the scrutiny from those eyes.

Seeing through such illusions was but the basic ability of the Delusion-breaker Eyes. New functions would have been unlocked as Lu Xuan’s powers progressed.

It was something extremely surreal.

After Lu Xuan saw through the maze, his knowledge and intuition regarding such formations allowed him to easily break one such simple maze.

The entire peak was revealed before the eyes of the crowd below as soon as the maze was broken.

A stone path led to the peak, and the training ground of the disciples of the sect was found midway up the mountain. The place had developed into a small town throughout the years.

That was where the common disciples of the sect were residing.

Everyone below saw one lavish hall after another sitting atop the peak, which was where the higher-ups of the sect took up residence.

However, everyone almost choked at the sight they saw midway up the mountain. That was because they saw people lying all over the place, but those people were all lined up neatly on the ground like they were some kind of crop.

All of them looked dazed and had apparently lost all consciousness.

Many were able to see bugs eating away at those people’s bodies.

It became apparent that those people were made into vessels for breeding Gu Curse bugs.

Most cultivators found in the southwest were brutal, decisive people, and yet even they had done something like that—planting people on the ground like crop for feeding bugs.

It was an act that treated people like things. The act was considered so harrowing that even the cultivators of the southwest, who were all hardened people, felt a chill run down their spines when they saw that. All of them broke out in cold sweat.

“Those damned animals!” Yun Feiying, who peered in using his binoculars, cursed beneath his breath in seething anger.

He knew very well that the Soul-snatcher Sect had never done any good things for as long as they existed, that all they had done was evil. Files documenting the sect’s deeds had been enough to fill several rooms.

But then again, no amount of data and information listed on paper would be as shocking as seeing these acts with his own eyes.

There were at least over 1,000 people packed tightly together being used as vessels for breeding these bugs.

All the other fighters present from the Special Task Force were burning in righteous anger, getting very eager to tear every single member from the sect to shreds.

“Regardless of how today turns out. We won’t allow anyone from the sect to live. None of them deserve anything less than death!” Yun Feiying shouted with burning wrath.

All the others from the Special Task Force around him nodded. They had never been so united before.

Lu Xuan, who had seen it all, was the only one who remained unmoved. What he had seen in his past life was ten to 20 times more harrowing than what was before him.

But then again, that did not mean his killing intent subsided in any way; such intent burned brighter instead.

“No one from the Soul-snatcher Sect shall escape today!” Lu Xuan commented coldly.

He then charged to the town midway up the mountain when he was done speaking.
