38 Chapter 31: The New Bodys Effect to Skills (1/2)

It's time for me to practice once again. It's nighttime according to Purin, so it's time for Fleur to sleep. As for me, I use this time, as usual, to train.

Fleur: ”Ah… Ciel, are you going tonight as well?”

Fleur has been comfortable with me ever since we talked about her mother. It has been three days since then. I no longer see her getting flustered over my voice, which is definitely a good thing. Moreover, I feel like she has been a lot more open to me than ever.

It's a good thing, is all I see about it.

Ciel: ”Yeah. I have to master this body as soon as possible. We can't have unexpected dangers coming our way without me being able to fight after all.”

Purin: ”Hmph! Purin will be enough, purin.”

Ciel: ”Hohoh~ That's right, isn't it? Ahaha.”

I stood up from my seat, which was also prepared by Purin. She made them when we departed and is usually stored using my Storage skill. She has her own Storage skill, but I insisted.

She really is a jack of all trades.

Purin: ”Of course, Purin is. Purin is amazing, after all, purin.”

Ciel: ”Don't read my mind.”

Just like that, she can also guess what someone is thinking.

I get scared of her from time to time, but I trust her enough for me to sleep peacefully while she's guarding us. Well there's also her master to consider, so I believe she won't do anything that may harm Fleur.

Fleur: ”Uhm… When will you come back?”

But no matter how much we talk and get closer, she still won't tell me anything about her usual blushing and sweating, as if she's enduring something.

Ciel: ”I guess, I'll be out for about 3 hours. I'll be back by then.”

It's 23:00 right now, which means it's already evening.

I still can't get used to the day being four hours longer than what I'm used to. We usually sleep at around 25:00 to wake up at 5:00 the next day for an early start. But at the moment, I'm using that quality time for me to train and consume more monsters for more skills.

I don't need to sleep because of my skill, but it's just something I want to do as a person.

Who hates sleep, anyways? Sleep is life. Ahaha~

Fleur: ”Mm. Okay.”

Fleur nodded as she usually does whenever she asks something and I answer. But this time, again, she's flushed like a tomato. Breathing raggedly, and sweating profusely.

Well as expected, I'm already getting used to it by now. I'm starting to think that that's just how Fleur's face is. Or like, that's just how she functions.

I don't feel any discomfort through the Link or anything, but… That persistent tingling I've been feeling whenever she blushes is something I can't shake off no matter how I try.

With her eyes dazed, she looks at me, waiting for me to go.

I guess I should.

Purin's here. If she wants something, I think it would be easier for her to ask Purin instead of me.

Ah, right. Whenever we take a break for nighttime, Purin will make a fairly comfortable shelter from the wall. She digs through it and uses her magic to make the necessary improvements.

So right now, we are staying at an artificially made room.

Kuh…

I didn't know you can use magic like that. Magic is only not based on the skill, but is also applicable with certain specific actions. For example, Purin can use Grudan Magic to dig through the wall that is made up of earth.

I'm really bummed when I learned that.

I mean… I can't use any magic now, can I?

Nevermind. What happens, happens. It happened and that's it. There's no use crying of spilt milk. Yeah.

I'm now somewhere I don't know. Well, I use my Detect skill as map so I won't be lost no matter where I'll go. I can just use Fleur and Purin's pointer as a marker. It's not like I know where I am right now even though I don't know the way. But I, at least, know that I'm still inside the mountain range.
