18 Chapter 15: Weaker than a Slime (2/2)

[Enchanted: A Title given to those who got exposed to Magic for a prolonged time. Status points bestowed: +200 to Magic Attack and Magic Defense with every level. Skills bestowed: (Magic Shield Lv. 1) and (Magic Damage Lv. 1)]

… Ohhh. If I were a mage right now, this is the best title I can get from that turmoil.

BUT I AM NOT, so it's not. *sniffle*

But on the bright side, I'll be thankful about the addition in Magic Defense. Even though I can't use magic and there's no way I will have to rely on my Magic Attack status (Because again, I can't use any magic.), there will always be a case where I will be attacked using a Magic skill. I have my Reflect skill, but there may be another possibility that I will take damage magically, just like what happened with that Grand Slime.

My own ignorance led me to that. I have to face it and be more careful from now on. I won't rely on my usual skills anymore. I'll get stronger, that even without them, I still won't lose.

Anyways, going back to my status. I noticed that my C.Cognizance raised to 12% from 10%. But my C.Manipulation is still the same.

Hmm… I wonder what's wrong with this. If I had to conclude, I can only guess that my C.Cognizance rose after my exposure in Magic attacks. That's the only thing that I can think of and remember. I don't remember doing anything special either, so that must be it.

Then… If that's the case, C.Cognizance is not correlated with C.Manipulation.

Aaahh… That only makes it harder for me to come up with a way to raise it… *sigh*

As for the new skills…

I can use Analyze just by looking at the red dot on the map. I can analyze it even without having to look at it personally. It even indicate the information of the dots! The race, species, types, and such!

Damn… This is awesome… I can avoid needless heart attacks induced by monstrously strong monsters without having to check it out by myself.

I'll try talking with this girl later after she woke up. I don't know how but it seems like I can understand them without any problems. I think I can also speak it if I tried to.

I guess I acquired this skill after receiving the 'Curse' skill used by that Grand Slime.

I learned that whenever I gain a resistance skill, it was because I receive the same attack within a prolonged period of time. But in this case, I got it after only a short period of time, and it leveled up to level 2 to boot.

That's just how powerful the Grand Slime was in terms of Curse.

Hmm… I guess, numbers is not everything in this world.

[Distress Resistance Lv. 2: The ability to withstand Distress is enhanced. The level corresponds to the degree of Distress the skill negates. Nullity is gained after reaching maximum level.]

[Devour: The ability to devour anything is granted. The HG will be restored depending on the amount of the target's HG. There is a limit, however, based on the mass of the object.]

[Psychokinesis – Gale Boost: The ability to use a great force created from air explosion to propel towards a direction.]

[Psychokinesis – Gale Spear: The ability to create a swirling motion using the air to create a drilling effect.]

[Psychokinesis – Gale Burst: The ability to use air to create and outward explosion.]

Do I even need magic at this point?? I can just use Psychokinesis with a different way and create my own magic! How's that??

Nah. It's still different. I, at least once, want to try using actual magic. But Psychokinesis is really amazing. I want to invest more in this skill. I'm becoming more and more of a ghost though, controlling stuff out of nowhere.

Now if I can just produce fire out of nowhere, then I'm perfectly a Poltergeist.

Oh, just in time. Grand Slime, Purin, is coming. I had it marked on the Detect skill so I know that it's coming.
