The meeting went by better than Kyro had expected. Everyone had accepted that he was checking up on the new info and welcomed him with casual nods. They didn't have any real reason to doubt him, and so they didn't. Gale led the meeting without a hitch, and in two hours, they were done.

Once everyone left, Gale leaned back in his chair and brought his legs to the table. Throwing a tennis ball up, he looked over at Kyro. ”You think we convinced them?”

”For today? Sure. But your father will certainly manage to rile them up again. I have trust in his skills.”

”Damn that old geezer. He should go on that trip around the world he's been telling everyone about. I could use a year without him.”

Kyro looked up from the documents he'd been returning to order. ”And you think that'd stop him from interfering?”

Gale sent him a withering glare. ”Thanks for not letting me dream.” He also threw the ball over, but Kyro was ready. This wasn't something he faced for the first time.

He picked up the documents, ready to leave the meeting room for his office, when Gale spoke up again. ”Is there anything else important today?”

”Ask your secretary. He has your schedule.”

”But you know it anyway. Just tell me.”

”Am I your partner or your assistant?”

Gale rolled his eyes and lowered his legs, sitting up straight. ”Fine, I'll call him. Just for you.”

”How adult of you.”

Kyro shook his head and left the conference room. They actually didn't have anything too important today. There was one minor meeting with a possible investor, but it could be done by anyone else if they couldn't be bothered. The rest of the day was meant just to look over the documents, sign some, send others back for correction.
