Zhu Xuan while heating the furnace started separating the ingredients with incredible speed.

Once the heat reached the optimum condition he started throwing the ingredients and specific time and purified them.

He thought to himself ”After hearing Senior Long's explanation, I started wondering about the other techniques I learned and when it comes to pill concocting, I think two factors are very important and works together. One is controlling your fire Qi and the other is the ingredients itself.

When I purify the ingredients, I need to be very precise over the control of fire for each ingredient. If I used more than necessary, the along with purities the essence of ingredients will also be lost and if I used less fire than necessary impurities will be accumulated and the purity of pill will be reduced. I need to find the precise amount of Qi required to get the most essence out of the ingredients with less impurity.

He started working on it; he added ingredients and controlled his fire in various degrees for each ingredients.

Soon one hour passed and Zhu Xuan was still concocting his first pill. He was slower than usual but he was not worried about it and trying to find the rhythm of control of fire for exact precision.

While he was immersed in it, the other two already finished their first pill. The third person failed and started concocting his second set of pills whereas Wu Qing formed a transcendent grade pill of 95% purity along with other peak grade pills in her first try and passed the test.

She went to the side of the platform and started observing the other two, especially Zhu Xuan. She looked at how serious his face is and with complete concentration on pill concocting and a smile blossomed on her face.

Finally after ten more minutes, Zhu Xuan finished his concoction and five pills flew out of the furnace. He observed it and there are all peak grades pills but the highest pill is at 93% purity.

Zhu Xuan was elated that purity increased by two percent. He looked up and saw that only one was concocting pill and Wu Qing was sitting on the side observing them.

Zhu Xuan was shocked and thought ”She really is an alchemy genius to create a transcendent pill in her first try.”

It was not wrong of Zhu Xuan to consider her as an alchemy genius because usually transcendent pills are made by higher grade alchemists. For example, a beginner level master alchemist can create a transcendent pill of grade one to three because of his accumulated experience and more control over his fire because of high cultivation level, but it was not easy for them to create a transcendent pill of fourth grade pill.

So one can see that she is a genius for creating a transcendent pill in her own grade of alchemist level and that too in her first try, which means her success rate of creating transcendent pill is also high.

Zhu Xuan smiled at her and nodded and she nodded back with a smile.

He didn't immediately continue concocting the second pill but closed his eyes and started using his fire technique and controlled it at different level at various intervals. Wu Qing was confused at first but soon realized what he was doing and she was amazed.

Zhu Xuan is recalling his memory of the concoction and optimizing the fire control further. He spent ten minutes on it and started concocting his second batch and his actions was faster than the last time.

After fifteen minutes past two hours, he finally finished his second batch and the highest grade he obtained this time was a pill of 94% purity and he is just a percent away from achieving transcendent grade pill.

He immediately closed his eyes and started optimizing his fire control further and he spent five minutes on it this time before starting to concoct his third and final batch.

This time his speed of concoction is even faster than the last time and he finally finished the pill concoction few minutes before three hours time period.

Five pills flew out of the furnace and there was one pill which was bright like light coming out of it. When he collected it in pills in the bottle, the bright light faded and a pill mark appeared on the pill signifying that it is a transcendent grade pill of 95% purity.
