25 Chapter 25 – Alchemy Apprentice (1/2)

Zhu Jia Li was shocked speechless by her nephew's cultivation level. She couldn't believe he reached Eighth stage. Zhu Jia Li stuttered in shock ”You have already reached Eighth level of Body purification, and that too with Three Phases elemental root.'

Behind her, Zhu Meiying's eyes were wide open with shock. Zhu Xuan's change and strength was too much for her to take. She was already shocked with his level of Eighth stage, and was even more shocked when she heard her Aunt saying he activated three phases elemental root.

But if they knew he activated Seven Phases elemental roots, they would have died of shock.

Zhu Xuan retracted his aura and slowly spoke ”You are right Aunt Jia Li. I have already reached Eighth stage, and I have activated Three Phases elemental roots of Fire, Wood and Water. The reason I said I can't accept resource form you is you have to show the records to the clan about the resources you spend, and for my three elements there will be lots of resources needed and it will definitely create trouble to you when the elders learn about it.”

But Zhu Jia Li was still in shock and completely ignored his explanation and asked ”How did you reach Eighth stage in such a short time?”

Zhu Xuan smiled and answered ”I have used the demon beast blood directly to cultivate, and also luckily found a 50 year old blood Linghzi and consumed it to improve my cultivation.”

Both Zhu Jia Li and Zhu Meiying was shocked ”Isn't his luck too good to find a 50 year old blood Linghzi, and he even consumed demon beast blood directly to cultivate. What a reckless way to cultivate.” they thought.

He paused and continued ”So I hope now you can teach me Alchemy, with my fire and wood elements I can learn faster. I can also create pills and potions to sell it outside the clan which will help me earn enough to buy resources on my own and no one will create trouble for you either. Moreover, I don't want anyone in clan to know my cultivation level. It will only create trouble for me.”

Zhu Xuan thought things through before releasing his aura and this three elemental Qi. In alchemy field, the most important aspect is you should have fire elemental Qi because you need to use fire for purifying the materials, and forming pills and potions. But, there are some alchemy masters who are considered genius in alchemy who awakened both fire and wood element roots, who not only can use fire Qi to purify and form pills, but wood Qi to have an affinity towards the herbs and understand their uses easily.

And he also released the aura of water element Qi for two reasons.One, he will be using water sword arts if he had to fight with swords. He can just release water and fire elemental techniques to fight so that his other elements were hidden from others. And second reason is, water element helps wood element, and alchemists not only need to find and collect herbs, but also need to grow them.

So, the three elements he showed his aunt is the perfect combination for great alchemists and he believed it will convince her aunt to teach him alchemy.

Aunt Jia Li though was still not convinced; she calmed down and said ”I understand your concerns, and your abilities to become an alchemist. But, I still don't think you should spend time learning alchemy right now, when you have only three months for selections.”

But looking at his sharp eyes and the face which showed unwillingness, she continued ”Okay, I will give you a test. If you pass the test, I will teach you all I know about alchemy. Wait here.”

Once she said that, she walked to a side room and disappeared. After a while, she came back with a stack of books and a scroll in her hand. She placed it in front of Zhu Xuan.

She pointed at the stack of books and said ”These Books are the compendium of Alchemy materials. It contains all the details of medicinal herbs, rare materials, demon beasts use din alchemy, and how to find them, extract them, their uses for making alchemy pills and potions.”

Then she pointed at the scroll and said ”This is the Fire Tact controlling technique used by alchemists to control their fire when purifying the materials and making pills.”

She continued saying ”Your test is to memorise everything from the compendium, and learn this Fire control technique in seven days. If you can't achieve that, then I won't teach you and you have to promise me you won't learn alchemy from anywhere else until the selections.”

Zhu Xuan realised what her plan is, but he still didn't hesitate and answered with a smile ”I won't disappoint you Aunt Jia Li. I will learn them as soon as possible.”

Looking at his confident attitude, Zhu Jia Li was surprised but then calmed down and said ”Hmm. I hope you can learn well.”

Then she turned towards Zhu Meiying and said ”Little Meiying, help your brother take these books and scroll to his place.”

Zhu Xuan greeted his Aunt before leaving and left with the books, followed by Zhu Meiying carrying the remaining books. They moved fast and reached his courtyard and placed the books in his room.

Zhu Meiying couldn't help but say ”Eighth brother, you should concentrate on increasing your strength. Aunt Jia Li gave you this test on purpose; you won't be able to accomplish this in a week. It took me more than a month to learn all this, and even for a genius it will take more than a week to learn.”

Of course Zhu Xuan knew this was the reason his aunt gave such a test, but he smiled and said confidently ”Don't worry Tenth sister. With my capability, I will learn these before seven days.”
