90 Chapter 3: Winter, Nine Months Before Part One (1/2)

Rose is working at McDoodles. Slur as Rose filled the bright red cup with soda. She capped it and placed it on a tray full of fresh fast-food.

”Hey, Rose,” Said Casey as she walked in very peppy.

”And Good morning to you to Casey,” Rose said and then gave the tray to a customer waiting patiently ”Thank you and Come again.”

”Hey, I am going to a Karaoke party with some kids from Seikan. You know that rich kids' school.” Rose nodded while still filling orders ”And I want you to come with me.”

Rose raised her head and smiled ”I guess your finals went well for you.”

”Yep, that's why I'm getting sto..” She pauses ”I mean ah mmm..”

”I don't mind going. But, are you sure? I'm no Partier.”

”Yep,” Casey said excited ”I'll see you at Palm St. then.”

”Okay,” Rose smiled and continued her work.

”You know Rose if you take off those glasses and let down your ha.”

”And If you don't get to work Manger is going to scold you,” Rose said pointing at the man staring down Casey

”Oh, Crap!” Casey hurriedly tries filling orders.

A few hours went by, and Cassie had already left while Rose was sweeping by the bathrooms when she is suddenly tapped on the shoulder by the manager.

”Rose, your shift's over,” he said

”Oh, where did the time go,” she said laughing a bit

”Keep working overtime, and I'm going to be the one with an ear full.”
