2 Host Cultivation Too Low. Adoption by Bang? (2/2)

Meanwhile, William Winds was dungeon mastering a game of Dungeons and Dragons at a table with a group of 4 other kids his age. His birthday was coming up, and he knew there would be no celebration of him. But he did not expect that in 30 minutes Bang would show up and do as he was told.

William spoke aloud, ”Ben! You just failed your wild magic check for the 4th time in a row. Jeez! Why don't you use more cantrips that aren't wild magic? PLEASE! You are ruining this game. Now I have to roll percentile.” Behind his screen, he rolled 10 D10's adding them up. He hit 10 on all of them, therefore rolling a 00, and he shouted, ”You've gotta be KIDDING ME!” William pulled out the overlord homebrew D&D kit booklet, looking shocked and stupefied at the result.

DM voice: ”Looks like we're fighting the final boss early. Ahem...”

William groaned and continued attempting the deep voice of the DM:

”You and your party have teleported in front of the throne of the Overlord of Death, Ainz Ooul Gown. Shocked by your sudden appearance, he teleports everyone, including your party, to a massive arena, guardians at his sides, his maids, and the massive hulking frame of stone and death that towers above you, all stare at you. As you open your mouth to speak in order to try to diffu-

”I cast wild magic to try to make fireworks!” Ben interrupts. Everyone in the circle then looks at Ben like he's an idiot. ”Ainz analyses your spell before you can try to cast it. To him, it looks like you are trying to cast a super-class spell, White Nova. You feel death creeping upon your skin as his eyes sharpen, and he throws a rock at you to interrupt your spell and the woman wearing the black armor with the big poleaxe rolls a 20 to her initiative, due to being on guard, as her perk, Ladies First, activates. You take 34 blunt damage. You are going to have a bad time. Roll initiative or just leave because we all know what happens next.”

”Damn it, Ben! You threw us into a literal meat grinder!”

”This always happens when we invite newbies to the table,” another kid says as he leaves the table. Everyone else follows.

Ben, the orphanage's meat-headed bully grumbles, ”I knew I shouldn't have made you let me play this. It was stupid.” He then grabs William by his shirt and says, ”Now gimme your money, Willy!”

His savage grin fades quickly, as William seems to finally snap. Bang walks into the orphanage and looks at Williams display of power as William grabs Ben's thumb, breaking it and pulling his arm behind his back with rage in his eyes, he says ”I'm not taking your shit anymore Ben! Watch your step with me or your thumb won't be the only thing I break!” Bang, while watching this, smiles to himself. William then got distracted by a sound.
