14 The Short Adventure (1/2)

The next morning someone came to Shura's cave home.

That person was a tall and handsome man wearing a purple robe signifying his status as a core disciple. He also came with a beautiful woman with a curvy figure who also wore a purple robe.

”You are…?” Shura asked. Although he had some idea of who they were.

”I'm master's 3rd disciple and your senior brother, Rulen,” the tall and handsome man said.

”I'm his wife, and also your senior sister, Arra,” the woman said.

”Greetings, senior brother and senior sister,” Shura greeted the two.

The three of them then immediately left the sect headquarter and traveled to Redmoon City. Shura rode on a flying sword with his senior brother Rulen. Only Spirit Kings could fly after all. Both senior brother Rulen and senior sister Arra were second layer Spirit Kings.

Shura had the feeling that the only thing they were going to be doing in Redmoon City was to fight and kill. He was mentally prepared for it. Why would there be any problem anywhere anyway? It's because people caused problems. And in this world where individual strength was above everything else, violence was the number one choice for problem-solving.

He can see it now. Someone plotted the death of the City Lord. They would find out who did it and kill them, every last one of them, and then their task would be done. How else would it be?

Traveling on flying swords was very fast. Only a few days passed before they were already flying above Redmoon City.

Redmoon City was similar in design to other cities that he had seen before. There was a massive plot of land with many buildings. they were all built magnificently and in an organized and ordered manner. There was an enormous city wall in the shape of a square enclosing the equally enormous area of the city. It was slightly bigger and looked grander than Violetwood City.

The three of them landed in front of the large and majestic City Lord's mansion in the center of the city. The servants immediately led them inside to meet with the sons of the city lord.

The two sons of the city lord led them personally to check the corpse of the city lord. That was what the three of them were there for, and it was also the first thing they would get it. Shura thought it was a ghastly affair.

Shura was absolutely clueless about the whole process, so he let his senior brother and sister do it. He just stood behind them observing.

His senior brother and sister would ask questions while inspecting the corpse with some sort of tool while the two sons of the city lord would stand by the side and answer respectfully.

Shura thought he'd take a look himself. He roused his inner energy and directed it toward his eyes. His eyes glowed a faint golden color and his whole vision changed. He could see lights and lines appearing on everyone and everything. He focused his vision on the corpse of the city lord.

He could see many things with just a glance due to this eye technique. He immediately connected the dots from what he saw and concluded that this was nothing but premeditated murder.

The city lord was definitely murdered, and one of his sons did it. It was that simple. Everything was simple. This was a world of strength. Violence and killing was the natural order and the mechanism that moved the world.

But how could he reveal this to his senior brother and sister? How would he explain it, and should he even tell them about it like this? An eye technique that revealed the 'truth'. He didn't think it was something that existed on this continent, and if it did, it definitely belonged to to the category of 'secret' knowledge, and was thus secret and should not be mentioned.

The city lord was dead because someone wanted him dead. Then he would just kill those who were responsible. That was all that was expected of him from the sect, and that was all that he expected from this trip anyway. The next city lord's position was easily decided then, the remaining son would be the next city lord.

It was time for him to take action anyway. He had to do something.

”I know you killed him,” Shura said as he stared at the well-manner and courteous young man, the eldest son of the city lord.

Senior brother Rulen and senior sister Arra turned to look at him in surprise.

”Pardon, my lord?” the eldest son asked. There was a perplexed look on his face.
