48 New Aquilae (1/2)
Within Valad's weeks of absence from the planet with his little excursion to Naboo with Vaylin, things had changed slightly with the companions he left behind. Princess Leia Aquilae who had come from a divergent reality known as 'The Star Wars' had renamed the planet of Trevi IV, into New Aquilae. The system would soon be unofficially renamed Aquilaean System, to fit her fancy.
It seemed this was one way of her dealing with this loss of her original home. Now much like the Princess Leia Organa who would cease to be without Anakin Skywalker who founded New Alderaan, founded a new home here.
Like the spoiled little girl that she is, she even went out of her way to form her own squad of handmaidens out of the formerly enslaved on the world. She was a pompous Princess, she believed she could start up her own legacy on a world that lacked much needed supply.
While the flora would allow them to survive on the planet for maybe weeks or months at a time, it was unlikely she'd be able to stay in one place. The settlers, if there were any, needed to be nomadic.
A nomadic Kingdom wasn't really a Kingdom at all, but just a rather large mobile tribe.
All of the force sensitive children, teens and adults all gathered around with the Aku Clan and Jedi Master Fay. They seemed to ignore the Princesses Antics and decided to simply learn more about the force and await the return of Valad which Fay foretold.
However when the time came for Valad to return, Master Jedi Fay seemed to have been the first one contacted? Taking out her holocommunicator which chirped for her to answer, she pressed the flat button on the top of the mechanism.
Her eyes narrowed, an indifferent expression on her face as she took in the sight of Valad hovering over Vaylin. It looked like he was preying upon her, but she could easily tell Vaylin was quite into whatever was going on.
She let out an inaudible sigh and spoke with a very impartial, unprejudiced, nonpartisan, neutral, objective, outside and disinterested voice. ”What are you doing?”
Valad's response seemed to be sheepish as Vaylin seemed to have been the one to reach over and end the transmission.
Fay glanced over towards the human apprentice who was training the hardest of all of them. It was Riané, using her saber as her medium of meditation and physical training.
From what she could discern, the girl was extremely prideful and blatant. Yet the intense training she was going through meant she had something to prove. It seemed that if this was to escalate, she'd definitely feel something if she learned that...
Fay's gaze locked onto the blinking light which was coming from the circular device sitting on Riané's belt and blinked a few times. Watching as the girl went to answer the holocommunicator, she pursed her lips. ”This is going to get ugly...” She watched as the head of the R9 unit appeared first this time and arched a brow. 'The droid was the one calling them?' Fay as a Master Jedi was trying not to laugh. What kind of joke was this?
She went to turn away, hearing the loud words coming from the Apprentice's Mouth, ”WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY MASTER!?” Riané went about bellowing, without care of who heard. Many of the female compatriots came rushing over, but before they could see anything the hologram transmission was abruptly ended.
Fay just shook her head as she found herself sitting on a large rock, closing her eyes. 'Doing to your master, my ass.' While she wouldn't necessary curse outside of her mind, she was rather certain this was all started by Valad himself.
The Jedi Master began to meditate on her own, only to be swiftly joined by a young Ahsoka Tano, who had narrowly escaped the hands of Leia who was trying to get the little Togruta to wear a makeshift Handmaiden's outfit.
Opening one eye, ”Ah... The Little Ahsoka,” Fay let out a quiet titter, reaching over and dragging a stone through the mud and rested it directly in front of her about a meter away. ”Would you like to join me?”
Ahsoka stared at the woman for a few moments, before smiling and nodding. Climbing up onto the stone, she sat cross legged and imitated Fay's meditative stance.
Soon enough both of them were sitting there with their eyes closed. Other than the steaming hot screaming and anger that was going off only yards away sourced from Riané, they gave the impression of becoming rather calm.
Their minds became clear, tranquil. Fay began to meditate on what she had seen, felt and done for the past week. She held no guilt, nor regret for which she had done. Yet she wasn't shameless. There were always mistakes and achievements that they could learn from.
An Ancient Jedi Master had once said, if a Jedi does not meditate on the past and future, then they are ignorant and guilty. There was always something to reflect upon, and always something to learn.
Ahsoka was attuning her mind to the force, feeling and delving deeply into it with her little four year old mind. Her mind had been opened and educated under the influence by Valad's power of indoctrination. Though she saw it as a gift, there was no pain, it was simply as if he switched out some cogs or changed an algorithm or two.
Master Fay who had witnessed its use was meditating heavily on this power he had used. Indoctrination, how it worked, what it did to the mind.
From what she could surmise, the power allowed him to change how one thought. Much like the sudden changes with Padmé Amidala, who wanted to remove the irritatingly long terms of the reigns to come. Yet instead of doing so, she switched gears and so did the entire Advisory council. The next thing everyone knew, Naboo had become a Hereditary Monarchy and the entire Chommell Sector joined them in an alliance within a matter of a week.
An unrecognized feeling came crashing down from above through the force. Ahsoka Tano seemed to feel a bit dizzy since she was focusing on the force around her. Opening her eyes, the little one gazed to the sky.
Her eyes narrowed, Fay also noticed the change and matched her Gaze. Both the Jedi Master and the youngling's jaws learnly fell off. A starship at least twenty two kilometers in length had appeared. It visible took apart the parameter ship of the Lucrehulk Freighter and integrated the Coreship into itself. It was like watching a bigger fish, consuming a much smaller one.
”Where did he get that?” Fay verbally queried to herself, though Ahsoka still shrugged to the question, rubbing one of her eyes. ”When did he have that built... And where?”
If that ship had been built over any known planet, or at least at a reputable shipyard, the Jedi Order would have known about its construction. Judging by the size of it, it'd take either Months are years to build depending on how much was paid, manpower and the resources available.
Yet she had a strange feeling about the ship. She could see that it didn't have a regular hull as it seemed black and reflective. It was as if it had been surrounded by a crystalline armor of some sort. She licked her lips, dampening them as they grew dry.
