34 Force Resistence (1/2)
When a Jedi, or really anyone, who is trained in the ways of the force. They are trained in a way to resist it as well. Be it to resist mental attacks, illusions or even possibly force powers itself. Force Resistance is one of the key powers which a Jedi Knight and Master relay on to repel enemy force users attacks.
Valad knew this, he knew that if he tried to use the indoctrination on her she would be able to completely resist him. He was only level twenty six and from what he could tell, he felt as if he was just at the level of a powerful Jedi Knight.
On the other hand Fay even if she wasn't a Jedi, she was centuries old and barely looked over the age of twenty one. To go against a Force Master that old and that skilled was insane.
Though being called a child, he immediately flexed his jaw side to side. ”Almost everyone is a child to you,” Valad replied to the questioning tone she had gave away. ”Why are you here?”
Fay stood there for several moments, hearing how he had just called her old. He obviously knew some of her background, at least that she was centuries old she bet. Though it didn't seem like he was going to call her out for anything else.
It also didn't seem like the boy in front of her was a Jedi. She could sense to two attuned crystals within his saber which was up his sleeve. She also felt the saber within the sleeve of the girl beside him. Master and Apprentice? Aren't their ages a bit close?
She knew the youngest Jedi Knight was around fourteen years old, if they went to Almas Academy that is. Considering it would be rather hard for a Padawan to become a Knight in one or two years after being a learner to a Master.
The amount of force energy though that she felt around him was immense. It was like the Force was dancing around him, 'is he the chosen one?' Was the only question which suddenly came to mind. 'Was that the reason I was brought to him?'
Her jaw clenched shut as she thought to herself. The force had lead her right to him. A boy surrounded by two women and several droids at his craft. Then there was the strange federation ship with unknown marks orbiting the planet of Faa.
”The Force called me to you.” Master Fay stated, her eyes remaining locked on the boy. As if he were going to run away from her at any moment. Yet he remained entirely calm in her presence.
Valad's eyes narrowed on the woman in front of him. ”The force... Called you to me?” His gaze wandered over to his apprentice, then back to Fay.
At that moment, the Jedi Master flinched as they foresaw an attack through the force coming through precognition. Yet nothing happened, Valad didn't attack. She furrowed her brows, opening and closing her hands calmly.
”What did you just try to do?” The knowledgable master asked curiously, seeing as he just feinted a Jedi Master. Curious of how he had just done that.
Valad tilted his head to the side, ”Attempted to play with your head, your resistance to the force is rather... Passive. Not that I'm surprised. You're a Jedi Master, centuries beyond me. I'm rather surprised you're not on the High Council.”
Even as a member of the High Council, she wouldn't be restricted to the Jedi Temple of Coruscant. However the only problem was, she couldn't leave contact with the Jedi. She'd also have more responsibilities which held her back. Him saying he was surprised, was a blatant lie, one which was clearly meant to be flattery.
Fay made a smug expression, curling one side of her lips up as she heard this. ”Play with my head?” She could only scoff, as if it was some sort of joke and began giggling, even gave a light snort.
Valad wore a blank smile, he thought what he was seeing was rather cute despite the woman being several hundred years old. ”Leia, you can get back to the transport.”
”But...”
Valad gave the princess one look and raised a brow. ”Go.”
Nodding slowly, she didn't want to leave the only thing, person, that made her feel 'warm' as the world around her felt like it would break at any moment. She had lost everything, he was the only thing she could find dependence on.
His apprentice remained silent at his side, watching the Master Fay as the companion which had accompanied them left the corridor and went outside in the pouring rain and stormy weather.
”So why are you here?” Fay asked the one known as Valad, her eyes still showing a glint of curiosity.
Valad stared at her for a few moments before shrugging. ”Increasing the size of my sect,” when he claimed he had a sect of his own, the woman just stared at him bewildered.
”And what sect is that?” Fay asked with a mused tone, she was clearly not taking that seriously.
Rolling his eyes, ”The Imperial Knights.”
The Master Jedi blinked a few times, the muse in her expression vanished. 'Imperial Knights?' It wasn't a familiar term, yet the name itself didn't exactly sound peaceful. It was as if they'd be serving a higher power. An Emperor?
”And who would these Knights serve?” Master Fay asked with a simple hand gesture.
Valad watched her hand move, then his eyes narrowed on her face, but not her eyes. ”The Emperor, the throne. My. Throne.” His voice didn't sound friendly, it sounded indifferent.
He had one large freighter that could terrorize a world who had a small army. Fay was now curious of who he was going to invade, conquer.
”And who are you goin–” She was cut off as she watched him glance over his shoulder towards the corner which seemed to be occupied but seemingly silent. They were being watched, but that was no matter. There were no spies here, they could both sense it was Jango around the corner.
