32 Jango Fe (1/2)
Topica City was a small place. Several platforms away was Slave One, and standing beside it since the arrival of the mysterious Scimitar, was Jango Fett. One of the most badass bounty hunters and True Mandalorians in the Galaxy. Technically, he was the last of the True Mandalorians alive.
Having used his range finder to watch the trio go inside, greeted by the Prime Minister of the Ruling Council, he would move his gaze towards the 'Mandalorians' surrounding the ship in a semi-circle.
He spent several minutes observing each one individually. They were all around the same height, same build. They were different than the ones that had gone inside whom were dressed similarly. Though these 'Mandalorians' had a strange plastic vibe to them.
It didn't take long for Jango to notice that those whom he was watching were indeed not moving at all. They were like statues in a wax museum which rubbed him the wrong way. These droids were clearly packing, using unidentified rifles and vibroswords as their secondary weapons. They were clearly trained in the art of close quarters combat, especially with those melee weapons at their disposal.
”They're not breathing.” Jango made his first verbal observation, as if he was rather annoyed and disappointed. These were not clones, and these were not people coming for another visit. ”Droids,” he zoomed in as he could definitely see there was no simulated breathing, not human reflex.
One of the droids was looking right at him, but it didn't react to his presence. It was as if they already knew he was there.
Jango paused, they knew he was here? Why would they know he was here?
He thought back to when Dooku had strangled his former Jedi Padawan through the force after Jango had bested her. He was given another deal after being payed five million credits. They wanted him to be the primary candidate for a cloning gig.
”Could these be affiliates? Or just customers...” It was clear this badass bounty hunter was curious. They were droids, though he doubted they were Protocol Droids that would give him information freely. ”Lets get a closer look.”
Using his jetpack, Jango fought against the wind to land on the Scimitar's platform. All of the Mandalorian impersonating droids turned to look at him and moved into a semi-circle, blocking his path to the ship.
”Jango Fett,” A modulated voice came from one of the droids, it sounded like a Mandalorian born warrior. ”It is a pleasure to see you on Kamino.” The center droid made a light gesture, a bow of the head. ”You are the last of the True Mandalorians.”
Jango's brows furrowed, they didn't know just where he was, but they knew who he was. Well, he did have quite the reputation, he couldn't deny that. ”Do you want this to be the luckiest day of your life…or the last?”
He spouted one of his famous lines as he drew his pistols, but didn't yet raise them.
”Who is your employer?” Jango went with the ruse that they were employed by whomever owned them.
”Someone who will help you eliminate Death Watch before it resurrects itself again...” The Droid droned out an answer as if it wasn't very amused by the threat of being killed by Jango Fett.
Jango Fett glanced towards the transparent door which the Trio had gone through. ”Someone who will help...?” He had already hunted down the leader of the Death Watch after the rest of the True Mandalorians had fallen. ”What do you mean resurrect?”
”Pre Vizsla will resurrect the Death Watch with the help of Count Dooku in a decade from now.” The droid seemed to have a large amount of information, this made Jango rather curious. Was this planned? He narrowed his eyes and looked the droid over once more.
Jango used the tip of his blaster pistol to knock the helmet off of the Commando Droid which was in front of him. He didn't recognize the design as something he had seen before, but it was similar in architecture to that of a B1-series Battle Droid.
His gaze went towards the other droids whom were just standing there, not responding to what he had just done. Did he not register as a hostile after smacking the helmet off? Though now he knew that he clearly couldn't trust Dooku, at least not for the time being. He wasn't going to stop the Kaminoans though, he had already been paid and he wanted a son.
