If they had taken the normal route then it would have taken more than 2 days, so he didn't feel surprised by descending time.
Zynx found out that, his survival chance was higher than before.

Zynx heard the voice from his side and when he looked he saw Faustina. This time even her head was covered by a silver helmet.

According to Mia, with Faustina help, he had another 10% chance to survive, so he glided toward her and hugged her.
Due to helmet, Zynx could not see whether she was angry or not, but when he was dying why would he care about that.
If not for her helmet, then he would have at least kissed her before dying.
