Chapter 333 - Escape (Part-2) (1/2)

The night sky was bright under the full moon. The clouds moved in front of the moon, and a cool breeze blew through, chilling the air.

The moonlight was bright enough to illuminate the jungle beneath, where the hooting of nocturnal animals could be heard.

The crushing sound was heard every now and then. Mo Jiang walked while huffing cold air out of his mouth. Although his body was weak, his mind remained as sharp as before.

Otherwise, he was unable to leave the hospital.

Si Li would never let him leave, and Mo Jiang didn't have the patience to wait when three years had already been wasted, and no one knew where Liu Juan was.

He had to find her.

Si Li would undoubtedly be enraged once he got the news about his escape, but he knew Si Li would eventually come to his help.

The hospital was located outside the city B and it was far away from the headquarters where he needed to go.

Well, he could use the road where he could easily get a ride but there were high chances to be caught by Si Li's men and brought back to the hospital.

Mo Jiang was grateful for Si Li who had helped him during the last three years and he would definitely repay for his kindness but first, he needed to find Liu Juan.

Mo Jiang knew Si Li's men would come to his forest as well, which was why he needed to hide for the time being.

Despite the fact his worsening condition, he continued to walk. Soon, he found out a hidden cave on the tree bark.

He hid there, using broken branches to completely hide the cave. As he expected, Si Li's men did come in search of him but they were unable to find him.

The night faded away, and the sun rose to brighten up the entire sky.

The chirping of the birds was heard. Mo Jiang left the cave and walked towards the highway.

Soon, he got out of the woods and reached the highway where bȧrėly any vehicle passed through.

Despite his stomach growling in hunger, Mo Jiang did not stop and continued walking.

And this lift was more important to him than anything else.

Therefore, he hid behind the bushes and when the car came closer, he abruptly came out. The lady was driving carelessly on the desert highway, shocked to see the man came suddenly in front of her.

She slammed on the brakes but it was too late because her car hit the man.

The screeching sound of the tires was echoed.

In reality, Mo Jiang fell before the car could hit him but the lady was too shocked to see his trick.

The woman's heart was pounding loudly as she was terrified. Her brain had told her to leave, but her consciousness wouldn't let her. She eventually came out to check on the man after a few minutes of internal debate.

She knelt down to check on Mo Jiang, who pretended to pass out.
