”Who are you? And why are you asking for her?” The beggar asked as she did not seem interested in sharing information with Liu Juan for free.

Liu Juan understood it. She handed over a few bucks to the beggar as well. Instantly, the beggar opened her mouth. ”Ohhh...That girl...I remember...She ran away and the men chased after her.”

”Which way did she run off to?” Liu Juan asked.

”This way.” The beggar pointed in the right direction.

Liu Juan remembered that day when Liu Ruolan ran in the same direction. Perhaps, Liu Ruolan ran back to her home.

Liu Juan did not waste time and ran towards Liu Ruolan's house.

It was a little far away but Liu Juan's sense of direction was good as she reached Liu Ruolan's house in no time.

”Big Sister, are you there? It's me, Liu Juan. I will help you, Big Sister… Please open the door.” Liu Juan said as she consecutively knocked on the door.

No one opened it despite the fact that she had already been knocking at the door for a few good minutes now.

The door was not locked from outside which meant that someone was surely inside.

Were the men inside with Liu Ruolan?

That was why there was no sound from inside despite that the door was closed from inside.

Perhaps.

Instantly Liu Juan's heart tightened thinking of the possibility. She did not waste a second and kicked at the door ferociously.

She still practiced her skills as life could change its mind and turned back to cruel. The door opened at once.

Liu Juan could not see anything. She used her phone's flashlight to look inside.

The house was extremely dirty. There were few used utensils kept on the floor. A few unpacked wrappers of noodles.  Few clothes were also kept on the other side.

Liu Juan slowly moved from one corner to another. The light from the flashlight fell on every item kept in the one hall house until it stopped on the person. From where the stiffening sound came.

Liu Juan's eyes went wide upon seeing her. ”Big Sister.” She squeaked.

Liu Ruolan was hiding in the corner, looking up frantically.

The flashlight fell on her eyes which she reflexively blocked using her hands.

Liu Ruolan seemed to be scared as she did not see the face of the person but Liu Juan immediately walked towards her.

”Big Sister, who did this to you?” Liu Juan asked worriedly.

Liu Ruolan's face was looking hideous. Bruises, blood, tears, sweat. All were on her face. It was hard to look at her. Her tattered clothes were dirty as well but Liu Juan wasn't bothered with it.

”Juan…” Liu Ruolan cried frantically.

Liu Juan's heart ached in pain to see her.

Liu Juan hugged Liu Ruolan in a protective manner disregarding Liu Ruolan's condition.

Liu Juan's pain turned into anger as she asked ”Tell me...Big Sister...you did this to you...I will not leave them...Is it Bo Xiao? Tell me-Ah!”

But in the next moment, a knife slid in her stomach.

She felt a sharp pain in her stomach.

Liu Juan looked down to see her blood oozing out and then she looked up at Liu Ruolan whose expression had changed into a smile.

Her smile was hideous as if an evil witch was smiling.

”Big sister…”Liu Juan was shocked as to what had suddenly happened.

Then the same rogue men entered the house and shut the door tightly from inside.

Darkness engulfed the house for a fraction of seconds and then the house lightened up with the lights turned on.

Liu Juan was so startled to see what was happening in a matter of just seconds that she did not notice Liu Ruolan pulling the knife out of Liu Juan's stomach and stabbing it inside her again with much force that Liu Juan fell on her back on the floor while her phone fell far away from her.
