Chapter 276 - Tough Step (Part-2) (1/2)

Mo Jiang's eyes narrowed seeing the three men. Zhou Xuiye walked towards him and asked while crossing her arms in front of her c.h.e.s.t. ”What do you think? Do they look similar?”

However, instead of answering her question, he asked ”Do you really think it will work?”

”Let's see. At least, we can try it.” Zhou Xuiye gave an honest reply and in return, she got his deadly stare.

”What? I am a doctor, not God.” Zhou Xuiye shuddered.

”We will also see whether God will come to take you away or save you.” Mo Jiang coldly said and walked away to sit on the couch and wait to see the result of Zhou Xuiye's plan.

Zhou Xuiye ignored him as he wasn't the first person who had threatened her.

She turned to look at the men and asked,  ”You all know what to do, right?”

”Don't worry, Miss. Zhou. We are professional actors. We won't disappoint you.”

”Good. Mary, please take them to Liu Juan's room.” Zhou Xuiye said to the nurse.

Now on the top floor of the hospital in a VIP room, bright lights were on. A petite figure was standing near the window and staring outside the window at nothing in particular.

No particular thought was roaming in her mind. Liu Juan's mind was blank, so was the look in her eyes- hollow!

She had been standing there, not knowing for how long. Perhaps, since the time when the nurse left after taking her unfinished dinner away.

She hadn't eaten anything today as well and no one knew how long her body would be able to take it without proper food.

Abruptly, the light of the room switched off but Liu Juan didn't pay attention to it and continued to stand there.

Seconds turned into minutes but nothing happened. The silence had engulfed the room with the faint sound of crickets being heard but Liu Juan didn't pay attention to it as well.

Slowly, the door of the room opened and the bright lights from the corridor enlightened the  inside of the room.

The sound of footsteps was heard and multiple shadows were seen on the floor as they walked into the room.

Then the door closed behind them.

Liu Juan continued to stand on her place, unbeknownst to the movement happening in her room.

Until, she heard someone call out, ”Little Beauty.”

A shiver swarmed over her back as she heard a similar voice. Her heart skipped a beat.

'No, this is not true.' She must be hallucinating. Thinking that she calmed down but only for a fraction of seconds as…

”Little beauty. Look, we are here.”

Immediately Liu Juan turned around and her eyes widened in horror seeing the three men in front of her.

Although she couldn't see their faces, their physique was similar to those she knew.
