Chapter Text

”First, I need you to fill this form.” Jimin took the papers shyly, his left hand holding tightly on Jungkook as he scanned all the questions he needed to answer. The only reason why he was feeling at ease was because his boyfriend decided to accompany him to the therapy session but in the short time experience he managed to realise that the old woman sitting across him had no intention to hurt him.

He never took this type of help in consideration because he wouldn't have imagined opening up to a complete stranger in the first place but he relaxed once he understood Mrs. Wang has been informed about the fact that he was a little. Yoongi made sure to instruct her when it came to his personality and Jimin couldn't thank him enough for relieving him of so much pressure. It was an introduction so the student decided to talk about his anxiety first, briefly mentioning his self harm but never showing the actual results of it that were lying underneath his long sleeves. Mrs. Wang was patient and kind and by the time they parted he concluded that seeing her by himself was alright and that he wanted to learn how to get better.

He felt motivated to improve his state of mind and as it was a first, his thoughts were overwhelming. Sixty minutes passed faster than he would have wanted to and as soon as the cold air began tickling his cheeks he felt his eyes getting tingly from the tears that started to form. He blinked repeatedly so he wouldn't start crying in the middle of the street but Jungkook must have seen right through him because he took the scarf he was wearing around his own neck and wrapped it around his before pulling him into a tight hug. Being held while feeling so insecure was the best thing in the entire world and he was happy his boyfriend was so attentive.

”I'm proud of you.” The tattoo artist whispered into his hair and slowly let go in order for their hands to join. A few minutes of silence passed as they made their way down the street, heading towards the elder's car. As soon as they got inside of it they turned on the heating and Jimin unzipped his winter jacket, not making a move to take the scarf off. ”Where do you want us to go?”

”I don't know.” He was not hungry and he didn't feel like going back to his or Jungkook's so he shrugged and rested his head against the window as soon as he felt the car starting.

”Road trip?” It sounded perfect so the younger smiled at his boyfriend's attempt to improve his mood. It was not that he was feeling down, his feelings were just all over the place and he needed a few moments to gain control over them. Thankfully, Jungkook turned on the radio but started no conversation as slow songs in English began flooding the car, his beautiful voice humming along to them.

”Paper Hearts” by Tori Kelly came on and cinnamon eyes widened in surprise at the sound of it, his heartbeat increasing.

”This is my favourite song!” They were waiting at a red light so Jungkook turned to look at him, happy to see how drastically his disposition changed. He was surprised to see how well his baby followed every line, how he was pouring his heart in every English word he was struggling to reproduce.

They drove all the way to Muuido Island and tried to have a short walk on the beach but the wind was blowing too violently and the air was too cold for that. Their stomachs were protesting loudly when they entered Jungkook's apartment so the first thing they did was to agree on what to have for dinner. Kimchi sounded perfect because it was fast, warm and easy to prepare so they had the meal on the living room's floor, the TV on.Jimin felt more like a roommate than a guest so he offered to wash the dishes when his boyfriend bribed him with kisses to forget all about it and lure him to the bedroom.

”Come on, I have something for you.” The pink haired boy scrunched his nose.

”Why do you always buy me things?”

”Because I enjoy spoiling you.” A loud peck was placed on the side of his neck before he felt arms scooping him up and carrying him away from the kitchen counter without much protest. He enjoyed the way he was always handled with so much care; Jungkook seemed to believe he was made of glass so he smiled contently as the latter abandoned him for a minute to look through the things lying on his desk.

He came back holding a box that was prettily decorated with a pink bow so Jimin tugged on the velvety material before taking the lid off and peeking inside. A cute notebook was placed inside, its cover filled with smiley hedgehogs and beside that he saw a see-through bag filled with.. drawn bandages?

”Oh?” He managed to read the note that was placed on top so he figured out they were temporary tattoos and smiled widely when he read some of the messages written on them. They were recommended for people who struggled with anxiety and depression so they were showing positive lines that could only make Jimin's heartbeat increase. He sometimes wondered what he did to deserve someone so caring by his side.

”Yoongi told me writing your thoughts might help.” Under the notebook lied a few glittery pens so he had to giggle before moving so he would sit on his boyfriend's lap. He wished he would have enough words to tell Jungkook how much he loved him.

”Thank you.” He grabbed the little bag and offered it to the other. ”Please pick one.”

A little bandage was applied on the back of his hand in no time and he grinned when he saw it read ”You are my sunshine”, the skin of his cheeks burning. The tattoo artist began to hum the song into his ear but was interrupted by plush lips pressing against the corner of his mouth. They soon lost themselves as they were lying down facing each other, their tongues brushing tenderly and making sure they didn't miss a second of closeness. Jimin decided he could have spent the rest of his life like that but agreed when Jungkook pulled away so he would turn on the heat.

It was pretty cold in the room so the younger walked all the way to the closet from where he grabbed a black hoodie that he dressed without an effort before curling on the bed like a cat. He closed his eyes and kept them like that until a sound kiss was pressed on his ear.

”Let's have hot chocolate.”

”Do y'have marshmallows, Daddy?” His voice came out hoarse and he wetted his lips when Jungkook nodded and offered him his hand.

They never complained about that kind of domestic days because they found pleasure in little things so they fell asleep embraced after making love and cuddling under the sheets.

The alarm went off and the sound was so strident that the brown-haired man groaned in annoyance as he blindly searched for the button that could stop it. It was awfully early but they both had things to do so Jungkook rubbed his face with a hand, trying to chase the sleepiness away. He decided they should eat before showering so he turned to look at the pink head that was barely peeking from under the thick blanket. He gently peeled the covers and watched as Jimin turned away from him and curled further into himself.

”Come on, kitten.” He whispered and rubbed his side lovingly. ”Wake up.”

The student covered his head with his arm and didn't move.

”Min, don't make me say it again.” Another whine but no movement; the tattoo artist took a smaller hand in his in order to reveal the face of his morning victim. ”You have classes today, baby.”

”No.” Jimin mumbled and whimpered in exasperation before furrowing his brows, his eyes still closed. The elder thought it was just a tantrum but then noticed how red his cheeks were so he pressed the back of his hand against his forehead and gasped when he felt it burning.

”You're running a fever, baby.” He rarely had to deal with these type of situations but he tried to remember what his mother always did when he or his brother were getting sick. He needed a few minutes to find the only thermometer he had and Jimin whined when he felt the cold thing placed under his arm, his eyes finally opening to meet his boyfriend's. He looked somewhat confused. ”Hey, pretty boy.” Jungkook's voice was coated in kindness as he spoke. ”You can go back to sleep after Daddy figures out how high your temperature is, okay?”

”Okay.” Jimin sounded hoarse. ”'m thirsty.” A glass of water was immediately offered to him and the elder was surprised by how fast the liquid disappeared but was distracted when the thermometer began beeping.

39 degrees Celsius were certainly enough to make him worry so there was no way he could go to the parlour and leave his baby alone. It must have been the cold weather they endured the other day and he hated himself for not making sure Jimin was dressed properly but there was no going back, he had to focus on making the boy feel better.

”Can I sleep now?”

”Of course, sweets.” He kissed the top of his head.

”Will you leave?” The student sounded worried so fingers hurried to run through his hair.

”No, I'll go and get us something to eat. You can rest until then.”

Jungkook was ready to close the door behind him when he heard a little gasp and turned around to watch his lover.

”Daddy – ”

”Yes, pumpkin?” He knew Jimin felt little and that made him even more vulnerable so he had to act extra carefully.

”Can I have the panda?” The man smiled widely and headed towards his desk on top of which rested the stuffed animal he later offered to his boyfriend. ”Thank you.” The plushie was hugged close to his chest as he turned on a side and closed his eyes once again, annoyed by the dizziness that was taking over.

Jungkook let Yoongi know he couldn't make it, trusting that his hyung would reschedule his appointments; he was lucky to have someone so supportive and understanding as a business partner. Yoongi was aware that he would have done the same if Hoseok was the one feeling sick so it was easy for him to be compassionate – there were certain things that were always going to be more important than their job.

He prepared omelette and two cups of tea he placed on a wooden tray he brought to the bedroom half an hour later and was surprised to see Jimin was wide awake and fixing the covered window. He placed the tray on the nightstand before pulling the curtains and letting the sun rays flooding the room.
