6 First Destination (1/2)

It was late afternoon as the sky began to dim slightly, showing that the sun was about to take a nap. The Pokemon were slowly retreating towards their shelter making it a little lonely for our hero.

Saad was walking around in jungle towards the Jubilife City alongside with Chimchar and Shinx who were nearly healed after getting treatment from Saad. Shinx has gotten a little close to Saad and Chimchar after the battle as he slowly began to realize that from now on, these two are going to be his family.

Saad looked at the Chimchar who was jumping on the trees ahead of him and Shinx, who was walking beside him and thought,

”Just knowing how to train Pokemon is not everything a Trainer needs to know. If I have not read about healing and breeding Pokemon in the days when I was bedridden, our time in the forest would not have so easy.”

Reading about Pokemon had become somewhat of a necessity for Saad in the days when he was ill. He didn't have the energy to go outside and play so all he could do was read. Those days were quite tough. Seeing his friends leaving one by one on their adventure was a little difficult for him. Although he wished the best for them, he could not help but feel a little jealous and upset.

He wasted the few days sulking but his father's words made him see the light again,

”Saad! There are times when we are blinded by darkness and can't see the opportunities that we have in our hand. We need a reminder that what we have lost is gone and there is no need to waste your time thinking about it. You need to grasp what you can and let go of past.”

These words made Saad realize how stupid he was, he was not going to lie on the bed for his whole life because the disease he suffered from was not incurable so, instead of wasting his time he should have tried to make use of every second. So, he decided to do the only thing that he could while lying on that bed, and that was reading.

He read a lot of books on Pokemon breeding and training. He also spent a lot of time reading about Pokemon health treatment and also learned a bit of archaeology from his father. He watched videos of Trainers battling in leagues and tournaments and tried to learn the strength and weakness of a few Pokemon that he would love to have. At first, he wanted to learn about every Pokemon that there was but when the Doctors told him that he would be fine in 1-2 years, he knew that he didn't have that much time.

He didn't waste a single moment of his time in the last few years. He learned and learned, enough to make even a somewhat experienced Trainer feel ashamed but he didn't let it get to his head because he understood that field experience is very important.

Saad was lost in his thought when he noticed that it was getting dark. He raised his head and looked at the sky,

”We need to find a shelter.”

........

In the dark night, a boy and a pair of two Pokemon could be seen sitting near a campfire. They were Saad, the fiery Chimchar and a cute prideful Shinx, trying to shake off the tiredness from the whole day of walking.

Chimchar and Shinx were comfortably lying down beside Saad as he patted their head a little.
