33 When Lucifer strikes, its a sudden catastrophe (1/2)

”And with that shot, 'The Turbo's one' lost their chance to win anymore. Thus, the victory goes to.....'APHRODITES' again!!!”,

All the Aphrodites member threw a fist in the air and chanted their victory chant along with the audience. It didn't even take an hour to finish this match.

”This time they were not in their best form. It was an easy win”. Jane exclaimed.

”I don't think we'll have to face them from next year”, Renee sighed as she wiped off sweat of her forehead.

Finally they had a half an hour break. All of them gathered in the green room. Seb was finally there. She was waiting for the last team, the mysterious, 'The Lucifer's'. She suspected that the team was not going to be a piece of cake. But then, another thought hovered over her mind and buried her match. She didn't see Iven yet, did he not show up ? Was he so mad that he forgot that he promised to come. May be he is in crowd, did he see her play?

Jane interrupted Seb's thought,”Seb it's time. It's the last match”.

”Already?”, Seb asked and started to get up but paused,...Jane I was thinking....”.

”What is it?”, asked Jane as she tightened her cloth on her palm.

”Let Ari have this chance instead of me this time”, Seb suggested.

”Seb, I hope you know what you're saying”, Jane looked at her with serious eyes,”She's young for this, and most recent player”.

Ari was indeed the newest and youngest member of Aphrodites. But she happened to be mighty good for her age. She plays with utmost sincerity and determination. Her career path is Volleyball and is opting for the permanent membership in Nationals team. Seb was the one who dug her out and took her in.

”Also she played in the second match”, Jane added.

”Don't worry. If she is unable to carry it well out, I'll be entering the second half”, Seb assured,”Give her a chance to prove herself. She is good enough but is not challenged better”.

”You sure?”, Jane confirmed once more,” 'The Lucifer's' might turn out to be a challenge as you said”.

”I'm always there to back you guys up”, Seb winked,”Go break'em up. I'll join you guys after I carry out something”.

Jane nodded and Seb took off. She wanted to look for Iven. He might be here already.

The match started and Seb set on her quest. She looked everywhere in the crowd through the announcement cell which was high up and had the view of the whole ground and gallery. But he wasn't anywhere. She also caught glimpse of Erica but she was not with Iven. She didn't seem interested in the match and appeared to be searching for him too.

Seb left the cell and decided to search throughout the gallery instead.

When she was at top of the parapet, the attentive voice of the loud announcer caught her ears suddenly,”WHOA!!! This is a first for the 'Aphrodites'! 'The Lucifer's' are really giving them a hard time. The scoreboard is still in favor of 'The Lucifer's'!!! Maybe leaving Sybelle out this time wasn't a good idea at all!!!”.

Seb mind was totally diverted. She didn't waste a single minute. She pushed her way through the crowd and enormous figures as fast possible.

Finally she made her way in the court's most closest area. First she checked the scoreboard and her team was indeed lacking behind. It's not possible that they had their guard down, the opposition had to be strong. She checked on her mates then. they all were super exhausted already. And it was no surprise when she noticed the oppositions.

All the 'Lucifer's' were guys!!!

Seb immediately turned to check on her rivals and the first one who came into her sight was the one who was on service.

And the thing happened which she suspected and feared.

She felt as if the earth stopped spinning beneath her feet.

She never thought that on earth that 'The Lucifer's' would be them!!!

She stood blank and totally clueless. she rubbed her eyes and looked properly once more.

No....it was not a mistake....

The guy on service was...Yuka!!!!!

Seb realized that Yuka was looking straight at her with a smirk on his lips. He suddenly winked at her as he made his service. He seemed pretty skilled in it too.

The mighty shot took the ball at the end of the court!!!

Ari barely managed to jump on her back somehow and lifted it towards Renee. She lifted it up for Jane to smash, but out of nowhere, another guy of the rival team jumped way higher than Jane and the net, preventing her even from touching the ball.
