23 Where Lucifer rules (2/2)

”Actually...”, Seb started,”...the guys whom I fought earlier, mentioned a few names which I've heard. I thought I should tell you. It can be of some help”.

Iven rubbed the back of his head. He was hesitating. Seb had nothing to do with all of these. He didn't want her to get involved. But then, it was indeed necessary.

”What are they?”, he asked finally.

”They called once...uh...Hugo...”, Seb looked up and tried to remember properly,”.....someone named Luu was also there”.

Iven looked at Yuka. He shook his head denoting that he doesn't recognize those names.

”Anything else?”, Iven asked Seb.

”There was another name....something like....Hee...Heeld yes!!...It was Heeld”, Seb beamed.

”Heeld!”, Iven uttered shocked. He took a back-step once,”Are...are you sure?”.

Seb nodded sincerely.

Everyone did hear that name. They gasped together. Seb was clueless at the situation.

”How many of them were there?”, Yuka asked quickly.

”Around 6”, Seb replied.

”You picked a fight with all of them? Including Heeld?”, Iven asked roughly. Seb was a little nervous as she nodded. Did she do something wrong again?

Iven fell into a deep thought. His hand went up to his head as he clutched his head,”This can't be good!!!”, he said in a serious tone. All of them had the same expression.

Seb was totally baffled,”Did I...do something I shouldn't have?”, she looked apologetically at Iven.

Iven faced her and sighed as he passed a polite look. He tried to be honest,”You have no idea what you've done Belle”, he said,” Even we would've thought twice before taking such a measure. Can't blame you though, you act first and think later”, Iven's voice was getting into angry trail as he continued,” Do you realize what danger you've put yourself into??? The consequences of this won't be favorable. You have exaggerated your skills far too much Belle!!! What were you thinking doing such a thing like that!!!”.

The last line was a severe scold.

Seb was looking hapless. What wrong did she do? Shouldn't she have saved Noah then? What was so wrong in doing something like that? Why was Iven getting all angry because she saved Noah?

”Enough Iven!”, it was Yuka. He stood shielding Seb,”You're going too far. Don't forget what has she actually done. if it weren't for her, Noah would be in a serious situation by now. How can you be so rude???”.

Iven realized that he was being too harsh. It wasn't Seb's fault. She just wanted to help. He noticed her apologetic face and sighed. He indeed took it out too much on her.

He tried to sound regretful,”Belle, look at me”, he said with a warmer tone. Seb looked up and met his eyes. Iven continued,”I'm sorry, I was being too harsh. I know you didn't do anything wrong. I'm also thankful that you saved Noah. It's only just, the ones you fought with, aren't very forgiving people. I'm just afraid if they come for you again, that made me lose my mind for a while. I'm sorry if I was being a nuisance”.

”I created some problem for you guys, didn't I?”, Seb felt guilty.

”It's not us, it's you. They might seek you out for payback, do you understand me? We know them well for years”, Iven explained.

”Are they your opposition? Do you indulge in gang-wars?”, Seb asked when he mentioned that he knew them well.

”Not anymore”, Iven replied,”Don't ask anymore Belle. You just need to be more careful from now on-wards, okay? Don't take any drastic measures during these situations”, Iven requested.

Seb promised earnestly. She didn't get a reply for all of her questions.

Iven smiled softly at her and turned at Yuka.

”Yuka, I'll take Belle home. You guys stay alert on toes. Expect anything unexpected”, he ordered. Yuka nodded.

Seb didn't take Iven's last words very seriously.

”I can go home by myself, you don't have to bother”, she said thinking that Iven was chiding her.

”No!!!”, Iven denied firmly,”It's too late”.

- Trust me, I'll be fine. You don't need to come.

-I'll come along till you're out of this area. It's not very safe around.

-Till outside the ship will do.

-Don't be so stubborn. You always get in trouble like that.

-You're being stubborn, you Lucifer!!!

-Shut up!!! I'm coming and that's it!!!

-I did pretty well by myself this whole time. I can take care of myself.

Iven was at his limit of losing temper. He grabbed Seb's arm roughly and jerked her towards him so that his eyes met hers directly. This time his eyes weren't polite at all.

”Listen girl!!!”,his voice was deep. It caught Seb off-guard,”Don't make me create a scene here. I won't repeat myself again. Do you understand??? Or shall I make you???”

Iven addressing Seb as 'girl' isn't very funny. It's a cue that things are getting serious enough. Seb didn't argue further. She escaped the scene and her arm with a single obedient nod.

But she didn't do it because she was afraid. She didn't see any threat or anger in Iven's eyes either. His eyes reflected pure concern. That's why she let it pass. She had learnt to understand Iven's disguised emotions by the time.

”Let's go then. Yuka!!! Be alarmed!!!”, he ordered again and started walking.

All the boys nodded and then faced Seb. Their attitude completely changed towards her,”See ya Sis!!! You can come her anytime next time. And also, please take good care of big Bro”.

Fits of laughter followed.

Iven rolled his eyes but didn't say anything.

Seb smiled,”Thanks guys I will”.

Iven just shrugged his shoulders and gestured her to depart already.

Seb obliged.
