27 Chapter 27 Talk With Gwen (2/2)

Varen: ”Sometimes people due what they never thought they would do ever in their lives. Some are hitting their children, cheating in life, or killing to protect. They break their own principles, cross a line that they never saw themselves crossing.”

MJ pondered about what Varen said for a moment then nodded in understanding.

MJ: ”I could see what your talking about, I feel like my dad regretted slapping me the moment he did it.”

Varen smiled and rubbed MJ's head playfully. She blushed but had a agitated look and pouted because of her now messed up hair.

The mood seemed to lighten a lot now as they were smiling and laughing. Soon they made it to school.

As Varen made it to his first class he saw Gwen and Felicia already there. MJ and Varen made it to their table and sat down.

Varen: ”Hey girls, good morning!”

Felicia: ”Morning hotstuff.”

Felicia winked at Varen making him blush a little. It seemed that Felicia was a lit more comfortable around him now since he saved her father.

Gwen seemed a little irritated that Felicia was flirting with Varen right in front of her.

Gwen: ”Morning Varen! Last night was fun, but I'm sorry my dad ruined it.”

This drew alarm to the other two girls.

Varen: ”Yeah it was fun, but I dont blane your dad. I did get a little more irritated than I should have.”

Gwen knew why, since her father was basically insulting Varen to his face. Gwen had trouble sleeping last night since she was thinking about how Varen was Nightwing. Suddenly Varen disappearing during the Parade attack was not so mysterious anymore, since he was the one protecting the civilians.

Felicia: ”What do you mean last night was fun?”

Felicias question brought Gwen out of her thoughts. She then smiled victoriously which ticked off the other two girls.

Gwen: ”Varen had dinner with my family last night.”

Varen: ”Yeah until I ruined it by arguing with her father who is a cop by the way.”

Gwen: ”Chief actually.”

Gwen corrected as Felicia and Gwen stared at them.

Felicia could guess what they argued about and laughed to herself. She didn't know that garen could be so short fused.

MJ however seemed to did not really know what they were talking about, only that Varen went on a date with Gwen.

MJ: ”Did you guys kiss!?”

MJ's statement made Varen and Gwen blush, answering her question.

Felicia raised an eyebrow at this, and was feeling a tug at her stomach. This was what they probably call jealousy, which she has never really felt before.

Gwen, after getting over her embarrassment, gave another smile of victory.

This rubbed Felicia the wrong way so she decided to knock her off her pedestal.

Felicia: ”Who's kiss was better, mine or Gwens?”

Varen stiffed up at her question, while some sweat went down his neck.

Gwen seemed to freeze at Felicia 'question' which was more like a statement to her. 'I kissed him first!' Was all that she heard out of that question.

All three girls turned to Varen, who the latter did not know what to do. He then heard the school bell ring.

Varen: ”Oh look, class is starting!”

He then began to pay attention to class while trying to ignore the girls' glare.
