15 Chapter 15 Best Friend (1/2)

A few days have passed since Nick Fury came to look for him. Although Varen did want to joining the Avengers at first, after thinking about it it was not such a good idea. Although he would be able to interact with the other heroes, but that would mean that he would have to do the governments bidding. Varen did not want to be held back and binded to governmental contracts when it came to saving lives. The whole reason the Avengers broke up is because of the government poking their nose in, so it would be better to just help out the Avengers without actually being in it.

Currently Me, MJ, Felicia, Gwen, Peter, Ned, and Liz are hanging out in our apartment. We were originally here to study, but under MJ and Felicias influence, and my lack of studying since I already knew all of it, they decided to take a break.

I was currently talking to Gwen, MJ, and Felicia. It seems that they really started to get along with each other, although they still compete for my attention; it seems more like fun competition to them. I even heard them agree on something, although I could not here what they said. When I asked them they just said that it was a secret or that I would know later.

While Varen was in thought as to what the girls were up to, there was a knock at the door.

Varen chose to forget about it for now and went to answer the door. When he opened it he was surprised. Who stood at the door was a kid around his age, he was handsome but no where near Varen.

Varen: ”Harry!”

Varen bro-hugged Harry who was laughing at the sudden action. Peter stood up and went to the door when he heard me shout out Harrys name.

Peter: ”Harry your back!”

Peter also bro-hugged Harry, who the latter happily returned.

Harry: ”It's been a while guys.”

Varen looked at Harry and started to remember to when they were kids. The three of them went to the same middle school together and were best friends, but then he suddenly had to move away all of a sudden. He said that it was because he was studying abroad, but Varen knew the real reason. Harry was sick, really sick. Harry's family had a genetic incurable disease that was passed on to him by his father Norman Osborn. The disease was called Retroviral Hypodisplasia, or the 'Osborn Curse'. Varen knew that Norman currently had this disease and is basically always in Oscorp trying to find a cure to this. Varen promised to himself that he would find a cure to Harrys disease, and he basically already has. He slowly started to research it when he got the spider, hence the whole reason of keeping it. This plus combined with the other serums research that he had collected helped him complete the cure. Only Varen was not happy, since he would not be able to save Norman, since he has had the curse for far too long.

Varen: ”Come in Harry, come meet everyone.”

Harry came in and examined everyone that was here, the others also did the same to Harry.

MJ, Gwen, and Felicia looked at Harry then towards Varen and flashed a smile of pride with blushing cheeks. The smile seemed to be saying 'You may be as handsome as a celebrity, but your not as handsome as our Varen.'

Harry saw the look that he got from the 3 girls and he smiled turning towards Varen and teasing him.

Harry: ”My god Varen, 3 girls? I did not know that you were such a playboy~”

When Varen heard that his face turned really red. He was so embarrassed that he could not even look at the girls, he only looked down trying to hide his face.

The girls were also embarrassed when they heard that but were mostly happy, since they have never seen this face on Varen. MJ and Gwen even took a picture of his face on their phones. When Felicia saw them she wanted to scold them for it but she also ended up taking up making her ashamed yet somewhat happy?

Varen: ”Shut up Harry, anyway how have you been man?”

Harry: ”It's been something alright.”

Varen: ”Care to elaborate?”

Harry: ”haha later, where are Aunt May and Uncle Ben?”

Varen: ”*sigh* They are working right now.”

Harry: ”What?! Aunt May working? I always thought of her as the no work all play type.”

Varen: ”Haha yeah she is like that, she is always complaining about work and 'recharging' herself as an excuse of work being exhausting.”

Harry: ”hahahahaha oh my god that's to good, I know how much you hate that haha.”

Varen: ”Haha shut up idiot!”

MJ: ”I'm what do you mean by 'Recharge'?”

Harry: ”Oh, that's when Aunt May Hu-Mbhh!”

Varen covered his mouth before he could say anything else.

Varen: ”Shut up!”

The 3 girls raised an eyebrow at this, this was too suspicious. They were deffinetly not giving up on this matter, they will find out somehow.

Varen: ”Anyway Mom and Dad should be here any minu-”

Before Varen could finish that they heard the door open and saw that his parents were already here. When they saw the people here they were a little surprised but then they saw Harry.
