19 Collecting the Dragon Balls, again (2/2)

”Wow, you can see that far?” Said Bulma, barely seeing anything.

When they arrived at the shore you could clearly see that the turtle had an old man on his back.

”Hello there,” The old man said and the turtle said, ”Sorry to keep you waiting.”

”Are you the one who helped my friend here?” The old man asked.

”Who are you old timer?” Goku asked.

'Hmm, it seems the old man doesn't recognise me, well, it has been 10 years,' Tarro thought.

”Me, I am the legendary turtle hermit, Master Roshi,” He said proudly and then said to the turtle, ”Which one helped you?”

”Only the boys I'm afraid,” Said the turtle.

”Well, boys I owe you one, an' I'm paying up... with a mighty nice reward!” Said the turtle hermit. He then stuck his staff out and said, ”Come to me, Immortal Phoenix,” but nothing happened.

”Master, if I recall, the Phoenix passed from that tainted bird seed,” Explained the turtle.

”Oh damn, that's right, we lost the poor fella. Well, I was gonna ask him to grant you two immortality but I guess we better scratch that idea... Oh, I've got it, this is even better,” He said.

He then posed again and said, ”Come to me Flying Nimbus.”

And after a few seconds, a yellow cloud landed and the old man said, ”This is my Flying Nimbus, I'm gifting it to you.”

”Woah, it's so light and puffy, isn't it neeto?” Goku said.

”It sure is, how strange,” Bulma said.

”If you can ride it, it will fly you where ever you want.” He said.

”What do mean 'if' you can ride it?” Bulma asked.

”Only the pure of heart will be able to touch it, it's picky that way,” Roshi replied.

”Wow,” Goku said.

Then Roshi said, ”Here, let an old man show you how it's done.” And tried to jump onto it, but he fell right through.

While Tarro and Bulma were laughing Goku said, ”Let me try it,” and hopped right on it.

”Wow, I did it, I did it,” Goku said flying around happily and Master Roshi said, ”Well I'll be darned, the boy actually did it.”

He then said to Tarro, ”Well now something for you young man.”

”How about that thing around your neck,” He said.

”Hmm, oh this old thing, I found it a long time ago washed up on my shore and put it on this necklace. If that's all you want that's fine,” Roshi said passing over the ball.

”Hey, that's a Dragon Ball,” Bulma whispered.

”Yeah, I know, here,” Tarro said giving it to Bulma.

”Thanks, Tarro,” She said, blushing.

”You welcome, see you later old man, come here Goku,” He said.

”See you later, young un's,” Roshi said going back to his island with Turtle.
