Tarro had great senses and instinct due to being a Saiyan so it only took him a few months to be able to perfectly control his strength.
But learning to sense all of the Ki in your surroundings was a lot harder, it wasn't the same as moving Ki around the body.

19 Months have passed and Tarro could now sense Ki in his surroundings and fight even with his eyes closed.
'System, can you show me my status please.' He thought.

”Haha, it seems that you've made great progress! I can see that your Ki is finely controlled.” Kami said after sensing Tarro's suppressed power level.
”It's all thanks to Mr Popo's training,” Tarro replied.
”Would you be willing to take over my position as the next Kami? You would be Earth's Guardian and would protect Earth.” Kami said.
”Ehh, No way! I don't want to stay up here all the time!” Tarro shouted.
Kami shook his head and sighed.
”Well, anyway thanks for the training,” Tarro shouted and ran to the edge of the Lookout and jumped off before Kami could react.
'I'll be damned if he forced his bloody position on me just because I seem like an innocent child,' He thought and flew down to Korin.

”Hey, Korin can I have a Flying Nimbus?” Tarro asked excitedly as it was one of the many reasons he had come to the lookout. I mean who wouldn't want a magical cloud you could ride on that could even understand your words.
”Oh, you must be that kid that Kami was training. Yeah sure everyone who managed to climb up my tower is allowed to have one. But since you've been trained by Kami-Sama, there's no need to for you to climb the tower.” Korin said.
He then walked to the edge of the tower and shouted ”Flying Nimbus” while he pointed his staff forward.
Suddenly a yellow cloud flew past Tarro and landed in front of Korin.
”Yahoo!” Tarro shouted and jumped onto the cloud.
But he fell right through it.
”Oww, what the hell why can't I touch it,” Tarro said rubbing his sore bottom.
”Hmm, that's strange if you fell through it means that you aren't pure of heart. Oh, well I guess you can have this other one for the not pure of heart.” Korin said whilst summoning another Nimbus.
This Nimbus was a regular white coloured cloud.
”Oh cool, I prefer white that yellow anyway, so it doesn't matter,” Tarro said actually hopping onto the cloud this time.
He then said, ”Bye then Korin.” and started flying towards Kame House.
