12 The Beating (1/2)

As soon as Tarro asked this, Beerus instantly changed his cheerful attitude into a serious one and asked, ”What did you just ask, boy, I think I misheard you?”

Tarro still bowing replied, ”I asked if you would be so kind as to have a quick spar with me, sir.”

Beerus without changing the serious expression, replied, ”I don't understand, I thought you knew perfectly how powerful I am. I admit that you are much stronger than Vegeta, but you don't even get close to Frieza's level, you are between a flea and a dog so you could say that you're a little mouse. Do you expect a little mouse to face a God? Frankly, I don't understand you, so either you are too arrogant for your own good or you are just an idiot.”

”It's nothing like that Lord Beerus, I understand perfectly what my level of power is and I know very well that I couldn't even harm you even you let me land a blow on you. I'm sorry if It felt like I was challenging you, so please forgive me if I offended you, sir.” Tarro replied.

Beerus crossed his arms and with a more relaxed attitude said, ”I'm listening to you, keep going”

'Phew, at least he has chosen to listen instead of outright killing me.'

Tarro bowed even more and said ”It's very likely that I will never have an opportunity like this again, to be able to improve myself by experiencing the most powerful person in the whole universe. Even if I am only able to gain a millionth of your amazingness it would be something wonderful sir.

That's why I asked for a training match sir, it would be an indescribable honour. And of course, I'm not so foolish to believe that you will do this for free, I have a lot more good food cooked by me at my house, if you help me I will prepare everything you want and you can even take what you want back with you.”

Beerus, hearing the part where Tarro mentioned more food, asked excitedly, ”Oh, more food? Will it be as good as those sandwiches from a moment ago?”

Whis also had a similar reaction.

Tarro replied, ”That's right Lord Beerus, in fact, I have things that are even tastier.”

Beerus licked his lips and said, ”Fine, I accept your request. We're a bit rushed, but I am a kind god and it is not a problem to pass on my grandiosity to a boy as respectful as you.”

”Thank you so much Mr Beerus, you just turned me into the happiest Saiyan in the universe,” Tarro said happily, relieved that Beerus was such a glutton.

Beerus extremely satisfied with himself said ”It's nothing, it's nothing. So are you ready?”

However, just before they started Whis intervened, ”Are you sure Lord Beerus? You barely know how to hold back, so wouldn't it be better if I were to do the training match instead?”

Beerus replied with his annoyance present in his tone, ”Who do you take me for, do you think I don't know how to control my strength, that I am a brute who destroys everything in his path? It's just a training match, so of course, I won't cause irreparable damage. Also, if do I kill him I will not be able to taste the rest of his delicious food.”

'Says a literal God of Destruction.' Tarro thought to himself.

Beerus moved in front of Tarro and said, ”Let us start then boy, come at me without fear and remember to keep your promise.”

'Ugh, I'm scared shitless about that last minute but this is what I've been waiting for so I'll just get through it somehow.'

”YES SIR” Tarro shouted.

Tarro Immediately launched himself at Beerus at full speed without holding back in the slightest, with the intention of punching him in the chest, but at the last moment he teleported behind and attempted to kick Beerus in the head. However, Beerus dodged it extremely easily.

From that missed kick followed another load of punches and kicks, but Beerus dodged them without even needing to open his eyes.

Even with Tarro's incredible fighting instincts, senses, trying to follow and understand Beerus movements was like trying to follow a beam of light, an impossible feat. However, Tarro wasn't discouraged, he understood that he had no hope but he just needed to keep attacking.

Although Tarro was unable to connect any blows, even whilst slowing down his perception of time, Whis and Beerus noticed something impressive. With each stroke, the next was more precise, with each step, the next was faster and with each reaction, the action was better.

'This child is learning while fighting and at a monstrous pace. Every time he moves he makes less unnecessary movements and he does them in a more automatic and instinctive way.'

'Hahahaha, I can't believe it I can actually feel myself improving, not like fighting those weak Saibamen and Saiyans, it's like fighting that Black Tiger again but a billion times as exhilarating. This is what it means to be a Saiyan, HAHAHA, I'm beginning to understand. Is this why Goku always looked for strong rivals so urgently, for this sole feeling?' Tarro though.

As he was was not anywhere near close landing a blow, Tarro decided to try and use more of his power to control time.

When Beerus next dodged his attack, by moving slightly to the left, Tarro stopped time and span around with a kick. But just as he thought the hit would land Beerus caught his foot.

Both Beerus and Whis had been slightly shocked by what just happened and Beerus asked letting go of Tarro's foot, ”Hmm strange, tell me, child, how did you suddenly appear in front of me like that, you actually managed to make me have to block one of your hits.”

'What the hell happened!' Tarro said in his mind fervently, whilst jumping back.

Whis also spoke, ”Ohohohoho, even I couldn't sense you move, is it some kind of teleportation technique.”

”Hehehe, yeah something like that,” Tarro replied, a bead of sweat falling from his head.

'Damn, it probably failed since I haven't used my powers whilst fighting before, ah well I'll try training it later but for now, I have to focus on this fight.' He thought, getting back into his fighting stance.

'Since my power's don't fully work in a fight I'll have to use a different strategy.'

”Here I come!” He shouted charging forward again.

He stopped time again just as Beerus moved and jumped back, firing multiple, condenced balls of Ki around and when time started moving again all of them hit where Beerus was supposed to be and exploded.
