19 Chapter 19:Witches (1/2)

After having a quick barbecue with everyone in the carriages we went back on to the road.

Everyone loved the barbecue sauce I added to the grilling meat. Because of this, I gave them a couple bottles of barbecue sauce.

Once we started going again, I put and illusion of myself going to sleep again and teleported away again.

When I came back to my Inner World, I saw that the Goblins made a mess when they ate. Making the Goblins clean up, I saw that Nekkō also came down to eat.

Seeing her outside now bathing in the sun on a rock, I felt that she more of a pet cat then an actual girl. Although her well developed body begged to differ.

After taking the Goblins to another village I put to sleep, I left to look for the witches.

Eva:The User should take some measures against witches.

Shomei:Why?

Eva:Witches use curses instead of magic, this can effect the User.

Shomei:... Isn't that like Fairy Tail?

Eva:This and Fairy Tail are both fantasy settings, so what do you expect.

Shomei:Then are there Demons? And if so, do they use curse?

Eva:There are Demons, but they're not books unless you count demonic grimoire. Also yes, demons do use curses.

Shomei:Let me guess, demons live in Hell and I can summon them.

Eva:Yes and No. Although the Demons do live in Hell or The Nether but their descendants can be found in the Demon's continent. While so do live on this continent, it's rare since most beings like Humans, Elves, and Dwarfs are at war with them. Although there hasn't been that much activity, the war is technically still going.

Shomei:Decedents? Is there a difference?

Eva:Yes, unless their high rank Demons, most Demons from Hell look more monstrous than humans. The decedents on the Demon continent resembles more of a human shape while their most differing feature is their skin color, horns, and tail.

Shomei:Is there a Demon king there?

Eva:No, there's a Queen since female Demons are stronger than males.

Shomei:... Is she hot.

Eva:Yes.

Shomei:I might want to visit the Demon Que- continent some day.

Eva:...

Shomei:Oh yeah, what should I do to not get effected by curses?

Eva:The User can create the item [Curse Protection Poppet], it will take up all the attacks of curses the User experiences and send a lightning strike back at the attacker. Although they'll break after a certain number of uses depending on the level of the curse, the User can just keep making more.

Going back into my Inner World, I did what Eva suggested and made a ton of Curse Protection Poppets.

Going back into the outside world, I went back on the search for witches.

After walking in the witches forest for about 25 minutes, I saw a lightning strike struck down on something afar.

Shomei:”I guess one of the witches tried to use a curse on me”

Running in the direction of the lightning strike, I found large wooden house. Walking closer to the house, I was stoped by a purple barrier.

Shomei:Can I break it?

Eva:No

Shomei:... Can I teleport inside?

Eva:Try, I doubt they have anything to counter space related elements since only high rank beings can use it.

Trying, I teleported inside the barrier. Walking closer to house, I was attacked and tied up my vines coming out of the ground.

Shomei:... The only fire spell I know is [B-. Explosion]. Hey Eva, can you tell me a fire spell for this.

Eva:Use [B. Burning Aura]

Shomei:Ok

Shomei:”Burning Aura” after saying that, my body glowed red and all the vines that were touching me were burning.

Probably seeing the vines burn, stone spikes come out of the ground but broke and fail to pierce my skin.

Walking up to the porch, I tried knocking on the door first.

Eva:... Why did you knock on the door.

Shomei:Wanted to see if they would come out.
