Dawn of Giants Haron 22100K 2022-07-22

With a kick for each knee and twist to his shoulders, I broke both his legs and arms. He was now a pile of flesh not able to move. Looking behind me, Emily was still holding the two men in check using her feathers. Their bodies were filled with slashes, but none of them life threatening. I knew Emily had a hard time hurting other humans.

She valued human life too much to hurt them more.

But I was different. I knew what I could do, how far I could push them. My Master thought it to me the hard way, the human body is stronger and can handle more than anyone thinks.

After the two fainted from the pain with Emily, we run to where Rose was fighting. The earth was scorched, the trees burning, animals and monsters wailing while being roasted alive. Carefully we approached the battlefield, the sound of battle, and screams of a single man.

When we reached where Rose was, we saw her surrounded in armor with a battleaxe stuck in the spearman chest. There was no blood, the fire evaporated it all. ”You guys are done?”

”Is he alive?” Emily asked.

”Not anymore. Don't look at me like this, I didn't kill him. He killed himself. Poison. The armor on his chest stopped most of the impact of my axe. Seeing that there was no way out he killed himself.”

”Let's go check on the other three,” I said and run in the direction we came for. When we got there all three of them were dead. White foam gathered around their mouths dripping down their faces.

”What now?” I asked. ”Should we call the MCA?”

”It depends on the two of you. As long as we don't say anything, it will be monsters that killed them. If we say what happened there, we only be more problems. They were after the two of you, so you decide.”

It is true, the MCA will not only take a long time to investigate, chances are even if they do find something they won't be able to do much. Especially if it concerns powerful families.

”It's all my father's fault. We will tell him, and he maybe will do something.” Emily said. She didn't look good now and probably felt even worse. This had to be her first time seeing people die.

”I will take a few pictures. Then we go leave.”

I searched their bodies, took pictures of their faces, distinctive marks, equipment, anything that could help identify them. In the meanwhile, Rose extinguished the fire she started. She then destroyed the bodies and buried the remains deep underground.
