Wait. I'm a soul artist, I can go to a hunting ground. Goblin subjugation missions are always around, and they won't pay poorly. Plus, I need to get 'experience' as Master said.

Algonquin Provincial Hunting Ground is close. I can take a bus… I should also borrow some money. They do have single rooms in the Algonquin town for Artists, I will only need a bit for a start, then I can go on my own.

OK. Let's do that.

---

I arrived at the Algonquin town early evening, two days later. With only a backpack, few hundred on my bank account, and a lot of determination. This place is not far from Ottawa, but it would be inefficient to travel daily.

The town itself was not large, rather it was more of an outpost than a town. Here the Monster Control Association establish an official bureau that is managing the hunting ground. Since there was a high number of Artist staying here, business followed, businessman's families, and this place became a town.

One of the business, cheap housing. Single rooms with only a kitchen and a bathroom. Perfect for Artists that will just stay here for a few days or weeks. Only two hundred bucks for a month.

On the way there, there were many shops, selling everything from weapons, armor, enhanced items and many other. You can find anything that one may need on a hunt. But not for me, I can't use weapons, be it guns or swords, and I have no need for any armor. As for enhanced items, they are just too expensive.

I got the key to my room from the manager of the building that I talked over the phone yesterday. I left most of my things in my place, keeping only the necessary documents on me, I headed out to the Monster Control Association.

Entering the building felt like a busy office. Tens of desks lined up nicely, and people in formal clothes, mixed up with 'normal' people. But these 'normal' people had swords, guns and other dangerously looking weapons strapped to their bodies.

”Hello, sir. What is it that you need?” an attendee approached me and asked. They were like receptionists, but all they did was point people in the right direction.

”Hello, I wanted to register.”

”Not a problem. Do you have all the necessary documents and the fee?”

”Yes.”

”That's perfect.” She then took a tablet out, typed on it a few times, and looked back at me. ”Please follow me.”

We walked for a bit before arriving at a cubical.” This is Evelin Johnson. She will take care of your registration and will be your handler form thereon.” She said and left.

As for Evelin, she wore formal attire, her blond hair put in a ponytail, and overall, she looked extremely neat. Only her eyes looked… cold.
