57 The Most Overpowered Agima (2/2)
”So you're saying that after they planted the Agimat, they were invaded on all sides. The reason for the inconsistency in zombie evolution, was that they probably failed. Thus the Agimat ceased to belong to any nation again. Correct?”
”Indeed.”
”It seems I've been too careless. Thank you, Elder Aran.”
”Not a problem, Lord Luna.”
”Oh, by the way, one more thing. If you remember that after I got the Agimat, I sent out an order that if someone was to find one, resembling an Agimat, to not touch it and report it to me.”
”I received that order as well, Lord Luna. The reward for a set of gear upgraded to +6 and having their homes upgraded three times is quite appealing.” Elder Aran replied.
”It seems they finally found the one hidden in Mt. Kanlaon.”
”Good news! Hopefully we get a good one.” Elder Aran clapped his hands together. The more Agimats, or Relics as they called them in his world a nation had, the stronger they would be for the final phase.
Luna was stroking his chin. As he pondered on what the Elder just said. ”Do you know what kind of Agimats there are?”
Elder Aran smiled. He had much knowledge to share, but overloading people with it won't do much good, unless it was something crucial to the current situation.
”The one you're holding emits a certain amount of knowledge, once that can be expanded on if you invest currency in it.”
”Oh? So it can be upgraded?”
”Indeed, yes, but the amount needed increases at a staggering amount. There's always a chance that a relic, erm, excuse me, an Agimat would come upgraded. The ones that contain elemental knowledge start off at rank 1 knowledge.”
”This one is up to rank 3.” After calling for Elder Jax, he asked him. ”Did you upgrade the Agimat beforehand?”
”Yes, Lord Luna. We didn't know about the <Nation> system, you see, or at least, we weren't evolved enough to even comprehend or remember it when it was announced. So all of our VIS currencies went to the Agimat. But in order for it to reach rank 4 knowledge, I'm afraid..” Elder Jax scratched his head. ”It costs 1 Billion Vis and it has a 10% chance of failing.”
”Oh.” Luna was stumped. Even their own national treasury barely had half of that amount. Especially since they constantly spent their Vis as well. Otherwise they definitely would have enough to do one attempt.
Elder Aran continued. ”As I said, it goes up by quite a lot. You'll also need to decide on which ones are worth upgrading. The most highly valued ones are the EXP Agimats, it played quite the part in helping the Dark Elves' leader attain Demi God rank before our own.”
”It just increases the amount of EXP per kill?”
”Oh it does more than that. After a certain point, relying on kills to get stronger becomes exponentially harder, unless you kill someone just as strong if not stronger than yourself. What the EXP Agimat does is more in-depth. It helps you digest all that you've learned thus far. Comprehension of Anitos or Elements, and comprehending what you learned overall in battle. It increases your comprehension at a certain rate.”
”That does seem quite overpowered.” Luna commented.
Elder Aran added another crucial detail. ”One thing to note is that it raises your current comprehension ability. So those with higher comprehension would benefit from it more than others.”
”What about the other ones?” Luna asked.
”We might need to sit down for this one.” Elder Aran replied.
