2 Companion (2/2)
”Ah! Do you have anything you would prefer?”
”Mmm... Sura.”
”Wow, next level naming.” Boni couldn't help but comment.
Luna smacked Boni upside the head as he replied, ”Alright, Sura it is then.”
The next 30 minutes, Luna spent reading the intro manual and checking Sura's stats and skills out, thus he managed to learn a few things.
Firstly that every level would add a +1 to all stats, besides the stats that a person allocates.
Every point in Strength added 1 to melee Physical attack, every total of 10 points would give an extra 5 physical attack. This was before any mitigation was applied. Of course, even though these were game elements, there were still elements which the unknown entity wanted everyone to figure out for themselves.
Agility boosted a person's overall speed, but would tire them out faster, if their Vitality stat was too low.
Dexterity affected your accuracy, this was assuming it was a non-moving target, so a person with high Agility could still give someone who invested a lot of points into DEX a run for his money. Luna assumed that If the difference was too huge, the person would probably just miss completely, this would need more testing. Of course, if your accuracy was high and you hit your mark, like say, a zombie's head, based on the rules of real life, you'd do more damage.
Intelligence boosts your magic attack, your MP regeneration rate per 30 seconds, your total MP pool, and your defense against magic related attacks. Basically a stat for casters, which Luna thought would be at a huge disadvantage this early, assuming everybody only got a wooden club and no skills to start off with.
Vitality affected your total HP, every point increases your HP by 50, your physical damage mitigation, resistances to any form of status effects, including zombie infection by 1% per point of VIT. Most importantly, VIT affected your endurance. You could be incredibly strong with high STR, but if you had low VIT, you'd tire easily.
With this in mind, Luna and Boni decided that the best route was to have balanced stats. A hybrid build, basically.
Leveling up to level 2, gave Luna 1 more stat point to allocate, but no skill points. He opted to put a point in Vitality for now, he wanted to get this stat to 10, so he can at least fight extended battles without worrying too much.
”Time to check Sura's skills.” All he had to do was will it, and he'd be able to view Sura's stats in his consciousness, the same way he would when he wanted check his own information.

”With this, we shouldn't have too much of a problem surviving for now, but that doesn't mean we can slack off. That entity wanted us to evolve and become strong, my guess is that eventually the zombies will evolve, possibly animals as well.” Luna had a worried look on his face, as he glanced at Sura, and then Boni.
”It's full on chaos out there, Luna. It's all over the internet.”
”I know... but our first goal is to get stronger, then we can worry about helping others, and potentially set up a base, but none of that will be possible if we're too weak.” Luna looked at Sura and said ”Let's go, it's not exactly the MMORPG we were hoping for, but it's do or die.”
