35 The Truth About Human Cultivators! (1/2)

”The reason you're absorbing the soul stones so quickly is because you actually aren't, at least not all of it just a small portion of it.” replied Moj Dak

”I'm not absorbing it...?” said William

”It's your cultivation method kid, you practice an attribute-less cultivation method meaning the mana you absorb into your body must be absolutely pure. Which is good because it means your spells will be stronger, but you're really only absorbing about 10% of the soul stone maybe less. The rest is just being released around you.” replied Moj Dak

”So what can I do?” said William

”You need to cultivate using higher tear soul stones, the higher tier the more likely you'll absorb the mana in the soul stone. Meaning it's going to get expensive to cultivate.” replied Moj Dak

”Will I be able cultivate using low tier soul stones at least until I reach one star bronze?” asked William

”They should work until you reach about three star bronze, you will need a lot of them though” said Moj Dak

”That's good enough, it'll take many years to reach three star anyways.” said William depressed.

”Huh? You seem to have misunderstood something William. I did say it would take two years to breakthrough to one star bronze, because humans have no natural affinity to magic. However, once your gate to magic is fully open and your body can contain mana. It should only take you about eight months, to advance to the peak of bronze if you have enough resources. Specially with that flawless cultivation method you possess.” said Moj Dak.

”What really?! That's great! What about silver rank?” asked William

”You should focus on bronze before thinking of silver, but if you must know with that method you have there. If you have the enough resources it should take you about three months to breakthrough to one star silver, and about sixteen months later you'll be at the peak of human cultivation” said Moj Dak.

”Peak of human cultivation? What's that supposed to mean?” asked William.

”Don't tell me... you didn't know” said Moj Dak confused.

”Know what?” said William.

”Humans can only cultivate up to the peak of silver rank...” said Moj Dak.

”How...? How is that possible...? But I've seen plenty of gold rank... and platinum rank... even diamond rank humans...” said William.

”That's right you have that warlock general's memories, that must be what warlocks believe... unfortunately boy that's just a lie told to the Warlocks.” replied Moj Dak

”What kind of bullshit is this?! I've fought... I mean general Ja'aduk has faced plenty of humans on par with him even!” yelled William

”Well maybe it was too much for me to say it's a lie. As, at one point they were human after all...” said Moj Dak

”What are you saying Moj Dak?” said William.

”It's a miracle that humans can use magic at all. A race with no affinity to magic an yet they can reach the peak of silver rank even. However, the human soul has a limit on how much mana it can handle, that just happens to be it.” said Moj Dak

”So how did other humans break that barrier?” asked William.

”By giving up their humanity...” said Moj Dak

William swallowed a mouthful of saliva after hearing that.

”When a human reaches the peak of silver rank... To advance further he must find a magical beast with equal or greater power, and kill it by stabbing it through the heart. Then when the magical beast's spirit leaves it's body, he must let the magical beast's spirit devour his soul replacing it with it's own. The two become one and a contract is formed, a tattoo appears either on the arms, face or chest to signify the union.” said Moj Dak
