33 Cultivation Obstacle! (1/2)
”How long does it normally take to reach the peak of mortal rank from the bottom?” asked William
”I'm not sure exactly because fairies are born with magical cultivation but I believe it takes humans at least a few years to achieve it some never do.” replied Nin Li
”Systems path divine art might be the reason for this, but I just can't tell her that system combined several cultivation techniques to create a new one. How do I even explain what system is to her, I should just push off the explaining and try to get the soul stones instead.” thought William
”To be honest I'm not sure either perhaps Moj Dak might know about it. We could ask him when he comes back, for now I'd like to keep cultivating. Will you lend me the soul stones so that I may cultivate?” asked William.
”Here I have two hundred low tier soul stones with me, they are useless to me now.” said Nin Li as she removed a big pouch full of them from her interspatial ring and passed it over to William.
”They're useless...” replied William as he grabbed the soul stones and stored it in his interspatial ring.
”My magical cultivation is already at 1 star gold rank, I need at least mid tear soul stones to continue cultivating” replied Nin Li
”How much do mid tear soul stones cost?” asked William
”One thousand low tier soul stones...” replied Nin Li
”One thousand low tier soul stones...? How much does a low tier soul stone cost?” asked William
”One hundred gold coins...” replied Nin Li
”One hundred! Isn't that a bit excessive! How would the common folk even get them at those rates?” said William
”There are actually plenty of ways to get them, certain organizations actually provide payment in soul stones. They can join the military, serve as a body guard to a lord, even gambling is a good way to get them” replied Nin Li
Ni Li smiled when she mentioned gambling.
”I see, well thanks Nin Li. Here is some money for the stones you just gave me” said William as he handed Nin Li one hundred thousand gold coins.
”This is too much, also master says I can't be trusted with gold coins.” replied Nin Li
”It's alright just take it, it's not like I expect it to be returned to me anyway.” replied William
”If you say so, he he!” replied Nin Li as she put the gold coins into her interspatial ring.
Nin Li immediately changed back into her fairy form and started laughing in a very cute way.
”By the way Nin Li what happened to that fairy, she didn't come back with us” asked William
”Oh I sent her back to her mother using a return home type spell, it did cost me a mid tier stone but it was worth it.” replied Nin Li
”Return home type spell... how does it work?” asked William
”How does it work... well it basically sends you back to the one whom you love the most. She told me it was her mom so that's where the spell probably sent her.” replied Nin Li
”Probably...” said William
”Well it's not exactly your average teleportation spell, the one you think you love the most might not actually be whom you actually love the most. For all I know she could love her dad more than her mom, but in her case it won't make a difference since they both live in the same place anyways according to her” replied Nin Li.
”I see, thanks for explaining. I'll be off to cultivate now” replied William as he walked off.
Nin Li stared at him for a moment then flew off somewhere. William went up to his room closed his door and sat down to cultivate. He took a soul stone out of his interspatial ring and began to concentrate.
”Reaching one star bronze is the first step in becoming a magician cultivator, from what I've read this is the most difficult breakthrough for human cultivators. Humans are born with no natural affinity towards magic like other races, so this step is harder for humans.” thought William
William kept cultivating for about ten hours until his soul stone lost its glow and shattered.
”This is more difficult than I thought it be, I don't think I've even progressed a bit in my cultivation.” said William
William took out another soul stone and continued to attempt a breakthrough, after another 10 hours the soul stone shattered once more without William having any progress. William attempted again twenty more times still with no success or progress even.
”That's the twenty-third soul stone! What's going on? am I doing some thing wrong system?!” asked William frustrated.
[Ding* System detected no errors. Host's execution of [Systems Path Divine Art] is flawless.
”Maybe that's it, maybe it's not working because an attribute-less cultivation can't exist. It goes against what magical cultivation is supposed to be.” said William
[Ding* System has not detected any flaws in Systems Path Divine Art
”That's because you're a machine and you only think logically, I need someone who understands magic. I'll ask Nin Li maybe she'll have some ideas” said William
William walked up to his desk grabbed a blank scroll and pen.
”System right down systems path divine art from 1 star mortal rank to 9 star silver rank” said William
