84 The Mistress (1/2)
Blur mist flowing out his mouth like cigarette smoke, his eyes glowed a dazzling azure colour as he made his first move.
Yet, instead of charging forward towards the woman masquerading as a nondescript man, his left hand swings his Crying Night spear in a wide berth behind himself, shockingly coming to clash with several vague shapes. These vague shapes came into clear view once Crying Night had made a full arc, piercing through each of every one of these shapes that were swiftly revealed to be three of the 'Hidden' Magician Silva Mona's clones.
Knowing from previous instances, Alexander chose to retreat with a single step, arriving several meters from his previous standing point just in time to avoid the explosion of the three clones.
”You think too lowly of me if you think you can creep up behind me, Hidden!” Alexander sneered in the general direction of the Silva Mona clones which have begun to move once more, all taking wide berth's at his general direction.
Suddenly, Alexander's eyes narrowed in deep concentration and his head shot downward's to face the leaf bellow him of which he is situated upon. A second later, he was leaping into the air, his aura encompassing him as he took flight. Just missing the sole's of his feet by a second were several Silva Mona clone's as they ripped apart the leaf beneath his feet. Luckily, his senses were on high alert and had long detected the shady tactics of this foe.
Brandishing his Crying Night, he sent a wave of frosty wind crashing into those clones with a simple swing of his spear. Those clones were immediately ripped apart and frozen to their core, unable to even explode their remains. Alexander took particular note of this as he continued his battle with 'Hidden'.
Clash!
Bang!
One clone after another brandished their lifeless yet powerful bodies to strike at him, yet Alexander knocked one down after another in return. The constant sound of crying rang out in the night air with every swing of his spear, giving one the impression of a phantom, its cry horrifying and heart wrenching.
Suddenly, Alexander detected a terrifying danger behind him and didn't hesitate to dash several meters and swiftly manoeuvred to face whatever had threatened him so. Surprisingly, this massive threat was only one singular needle. But with Alexander's keen sight, he noticed that a potent liquid substance at the tip of those needles that sent a shiver down his spine. He didn't know what exactly what type of poison it was, but he felt it wouldn't have been pretty if he were struck by it. That's for sure.
His eyes then narrow on the perpetrator of this sneak attack, which happened to by the disguised woman who held one of her hands out in the aftermath of her throw, hanging lazily in the air, matching the lazy smirk on her lips.
It was then that Alexander suddenly felt his heart beat loudly in his ears and his vision shake, as if he were deeply intoxicated for that small moment of a second before things returned to normal. This shaky vision happened with every ear shattering heartbeat, sending him into disarray.
Alexander clenched his teeth and shakily peaked over his shoulder to face the eyes of the disguised woman once more. Looking back to the spot where she was earlier, he also saw the disguised woman there also. Everything clicked in his mind instantly.
”Did you think that Silva Mona can only clone himself. Foolish thinking.” The disguised woman's husky voice sounded in his ears, sending a shiver down his spine as another spasm of pain hit him. ”Goodnight, sunshine.”
”Suns-?” Alexander's eyes opened wide at that curious phrase but turned dull and lifeless the next second when a quick and smooth strike to the back of his neck sent him unconscious instantly mid-sentence. Before he fell from the sky, the disguised woman caught him be the collar of his shirt and held him up like a puppet with no strings.
