Ning Men ”You already know about this plan even before you came to the Wood islands.”
Jiang Chen ” Yes ,I knew about it even before I left River Spring city. You are called Ning Men right. I was told you would be a dangerous opponent , will have to see how it would go.”
Jiang Chen ”Do you plan to attack in group or want to give a try one on one.”
Ning Men was puzzled now, he should not underestimate Jiang Chen, who was standing before him, but if he let a group attack, he was sure he would loose, few of Ning family members for sure, already dozen members were incapacitated by Jiang Chen. If he wait longer he was scared that people from Ha family will come and reinforce Jiang Chen. Even though, Bai Mo took responsibility of stopping Ha Family, from coming to reinforce Jiang Chen. He was not sure about it now, seeing confident Jiang Chen.And Jiang Chen was launching attacks from long range and no one was close to reaching him. There are already 12 people who can't fight ,now he poisoned two more ninth grade martial artists and there are only one more 9th grade martial artist, capable of fighting ,other than him. He didn't doubt his capability of killing Jiang Chen but he was scared of treacherous means Jiang Chen prepared for them. He is not trying to fight those 9th grade martial artists so he was intentionally poisoning them those are not life threatening for them but sure prevents them for going full power. Even now, Jiang Chen didn't stop shooting arrows, they have made a serious judgement error.
Ning Men ”I will fight you then?” as Ning Men spoke that and his beast started galloping at full speed charging towards Jiang Chen ,Jiang Chen was continuously showering arrows at him he was able to either dodge them or block them using his sword. Just then Jiang Chen stopped shooting arrows and took his spear in his hand and his horse started charging forward with his spear pointed towards him. He was feeling some uneasiness and he could sense his beast was scared and slowing down. Jiang Chen's spear came charging towards him he deflected it and was about to attack but he saw his beast roaring loudly and in the very moment he was sent flying in air. In last moment he saw the legs of the horse that had made a contact with his beast and sent it flying. He could sense strange aura coming towards him. That horse is a demonic beast too? That is no regular horse it is a demonic beast and it has fire attribute.
Just as he was trying to stabilize his beast, continuous assaults happened on him and beast ,Jiang Chen was not giving him opportunity at all ,his Lightning Wolf was already in pretty bad shape and it was not looking like its usual self instead of aggression and fighting spirit he could feel there was fear in its eyes.
What is happening exactly, he has never seen his beast behaving that way, it has been to hundreds of fights and was defeated few times too but never did he see this expression in its eyes.
He was a 9th stage martial Artist, fighting a 1st stage martial artist and he is in bad position and Jiang Chen's lightning attribute spear technique is very powerful, he can't be careless about it too, else he will fell into disadvantage too and may be defeated too. What kind of monster is this kid? how is he this way? when did he learn this spear technique?with the power he is displaying he reached small perfection too. Just as he was thinking about the fight, he saw his beast collapsed to the ground life less, he fell along with it and its weight pressing on him , Jiang Chen's second spear that is what killed his beast and then that spear came charging right at him and he has no way to defend and it is not lightning attribute or fire attribute ,Jiang Chen possesses a third attribute. That was the last thing in his mind and he fell life less on the ground.
Seeing this everyone were dumbstruck, Jiang Chen killed Ning Men, in one on one fight. He is the strongest person in the group ,he is strongest Martial artist of Ning family and he died.
Jiang Chen body was also covered in blood, he also suffered few injuries while fighting Ning Men. His injuries are not that heavy but if he hadn't used his second spear he would not have been able to gain upper hand and kill Ning Men.
To win in this fight, his horse was the key player, it is the inherent ability of his horse, to cause nightmares to other beasts and creatures, who are weaker than it, NIGHT used its inherent ability to full use, then executed continuous attacks on the beast not giving it time to recover at all, when they are in this kind of fight stability of beast comes as key factor and Ning Men lost the advantage there and Jiang Chen's sneak attack killed him.
Jiang Chen ”Night lets charge at the remaining ninth stage martial artist .” and both beast and man combo launched an attack on the bewildered 9th grade martial artist and he also fell for Jiang Chen's beast and man combo after fifty or so moves. With their most powerful experts either killed or disabled what followed was a slaughter. With the leader of the group gone, the group fell into complete chaos. Some people wanted to press forward and attack and use their numbers to overwhelm and few started panicking and ran away. Jiang Chen swiftly killed the three weakened peak stage martial artists, so they won't launch a suicide attack on him . Then he started hunting them one by one. He was already running out of his lightning attribute energy after killing those 33 martial artists of Jiang Chen , Jiang Chen then started using his ice and light attributes to launch attacks on the scattered Ning family members.
Jiang Chen got down from the beast, took his bow and arrowsagain and started hunting the martial artists trying to escape from there and his demonic beast started killing the beasts and cultivators in the vicinity .
This whole slaughter lasted for more than half a day. By the end of it Jiang Chen was so tired . He has suffered many injuries in the fight there was no part of his body that hasn't been injured that severe was the fight ,his heavenly energy was completely burned out , his lightning , fire and ice attribute energy were completely wiped clean. His reserves for light attribute are also half empty.
After the bloody slaughter even his Nightmare beast collapsed, but there was sense of pride in it. Why will it not be pride it just did a mass slaughter to its hearts content. Even it suffered few injuries but it was able to heal itself . It neighed very loudly at the sense of accomplishment ,its sound reverberated around the forest.It then slowly closed its eyes and was resting peacefully. Jiang Chen activated his Dragon Star Pagoda Technique and simultaneously started to gather up his heavenly energy. He felt that he is reaching limits and may breakthrough to second stage Martial Artist sooner. He leaned himself on the horse and took out few extraordinary quality fire pills to refill his fire attribute energy faster. His heavenly energy is also refilling at fast pace.
After almost half day his heavenly energy reserves were half filled and attribute energy is also quarter filled and Jiang Chen was feeling relaxed now, his injuries are yet to heal but it is good lesson for him to learn.His beast was already well rested and was trying to gather the battle experience to some kind of comprehension.
Jiang Chen was waiting for other Bai family members to come to finish them off but was disappointed as no one came for one full day and Jiang Chen was completely refreshed ,he made a brief visit to his Natal palace and refreshed himself. His energy was already fully restored and if another batch of people come he was more sure they would meet same fate.All of this was only possible because of his Nightmare beast they both made a very good combination.
As Jiang Chen was slowly collecting his battle spoils he sensed some one coming from distance. Already bodies of all beasts are shifted to natal palace ,he didn't want bodies of humans in his natal palace. So he was slowly checking the bodies of each cultivator and collecting their weapons and spoils.
Jiang Chen extended his spiritual sense, trying to listen to what they are speaking. He recognized both of them, they are people from Bai Family, but they are just lackeys their cultivation is only at third stage.
