Chapter 171 (1/2)
The first feeling I had was joy. I wanted to know when he bought a capsule and why he showed up like this. Then the emotion that followed was amazement. Park Muyeol easily faced the three participants. It wasn’t even with a sword.
“Haha. Crazy guy.”
Maybe it was because I saw him holding a wooden sword ever since a long time ago, but I almost considered it as another limb for him. Yet now he was holding a bouquet of flowers and a strange hair-clipper in his hands. I couldn’t help feeling doubts.
“Why did he throw away the wooden sword?”
I knew that he had a hobby of ‘flower arrangements’ that didn’t suit him. Well, it was his choice and I didn’t intend to force it. I just couldn’t adapt. Did he change to becoming a florist grandfather?
-Bring it on, you trash. I’ll teach you personally.
The ground shook. A huge wave of power was felt with Park Muyeol in the center. My eyes flashed with amazement. No, how did he have this power...?
I scanned him directly using super sensitivity. The wave of power was bursting from the bouquet that he was holding. It was soon wrapped in a golden aura and the ripples of power subsided again. I frowned at the bizarre sight. It seemed that he wasn’t an ordinary florist grandfather. I thought that I should put the word ‘crazy’ in front of him.
-Go.
Park Muyeol was the one to move first. The place where he ran to was a corner of the stage. He swung at the closest participant with a sword...
No, he hit the person with the bouquet. It was a bit surprising.
“No, why did the bouquet not break despite colliding with the sword?”
I looked at his bouquet again with strong doubts. Then once I looked closer, I saw a black wooden sword hidden inside it.
“It is like this. There was no way he would let go of the wooden sword.”
Park Muyeol swung the wooden sword at a high speed. I saw his satisfied smile for the first time in ages. He quickly beat one participant and continued the surprising situation. His next stop was a place with five participants. Park Muyeol ran around wildly with his bouquet.
“...He is still the same. Supreme Bamboo.”
I remembered the face of this guy who was active as an assault leader in his youth. Park Muyeol at that time was really strong. Of course, I was a bit stronger.
-Okay, next.
In the blink of an eye, Park Muyeol eliminated five participants. His wooden sword wasn’t even broken. It was normal for a wooden sword to break when colliding with steel. Was this a real sword?
Haha. The world was becoming hopeless.
“Ah! I remember! He is Grandfather’s best friend?!”
I turned at the sound of a familiar voice. Mido looked at the screen with a stunned expression on her face. Come to think of it, Mido knew him. This was a big problem.
“Hmmm. It is getting twisted because of Muyeol.” Mido would know my identity the moment that guy opened his mouth. He wasn’t registered as a friend so I couldn’t send him a whisper. “Hmm. Once we meet, I’ll have to block his mouth with a cobweb.”
-Zhen Sulong: Brother, I think he’s just as good as you.
Tsk. Where did this guy go that he was sending a whisper instead of talking directly? I looked around and saw Zhen Sulong watching the screen floating above the crystal ball with the other participants. Meanwhile, I could see it from the iron bars thanks to my super sensitivity. Without it, I would’ve been watching the floating screen with them.
-Jackson: He is my friend.
-Zhen Sulong: Huh???
-Jackson: My friend.
-Zhen Sulong: ......
Zhen Sulong was silent for a moment before he came walking over to me. “Really?”
“Yes, doesn’t he look like my friend at first sight?”
“Yes, but...”
“Watch carefully and see what a great fellow he is.” My gaze moved back to the stage. There, Park Muyeol was engaged in a fierce battle.
* * *
Park Muyeol plunged into the middle of the melee. He deflected the incoming greatsword, spear, and three flying arrows. He jumped forward with only a wooden sword in his hand.
“Ugh. Crazy! What is with this old man’s power?!” The man in front of him frowned as he pushed away the black wooden sword that was disguised as a flower bouquet.
However, Park Muyeol was unimpressed. “Just die.”
The wooden sword slammed into the opponent’s armor. It was so strong that it left a deep dent. The user in front of him was logged out with a disbelieving expression. Park Muyeol looked back and saw the ones who aimed the spear and fired the arrows. They were staring at him while backing away.
“Haha. Where are you going, kiddos?” He thought his words were pretty caring but the fear didn’t disappear from their expressions. Was this manner of speaking not suitable for him? Park Muyeol was trying to be nice but it didn’t work. “Come on, these rotten guys.”
“Hiiik!”
“I will separate your flesh from your bones.”
The complexion of the two people became pale. They looked at each other and nodded. Then they started to flee.
“What?”
They attacked the other participants. They were trying to survive by attacking others because they didn’t want to face him. Tsk. Was this called being wise?
Park Muyeol examined the sword he held in his hand. There were no more flowers. The flowers had either withered or fallen off in the violent battle. Park Muyeol saw it and was unhappy. He was told not to hit people with flowers...
“I broke my word today. Kuhahaha!”
The match was still in progress but he laughed. Most of the participants had already been sorted out and there was no one to trouble him. He checked who was remaining. There were around 10 people left? Approximately half of them were eliminated and he hoped for someone to get rid of the other half for him. In fact, it wasn’t fun to deal with these children.
“Are there any strong participants?”
He placed the wooden sword on his shoulder while walking toward the other participants. They were tearing at each other and making a mess. Park Muyeol smiled and slowly approached them. Then he suddenly felt a strange gaze.
“...?”
In a corner, there was a man with close-cropped hair staring at him with crossed arms. His weapon was a club. No, why was he staring? Park Muyeol felt bad. Strangely enough, the man with close-cropped hair gave off the same presence as Park Muyeol. However, this person wasn’t enjoying the match. He was just sitting down and doing nothing.
“Die! The enemy of my companions! Fire Wave!” One magician sent a wave of flames to the man with close-cropped hair yet the man remained still. He just raised his gloved left hand.
