2 Knowledge Expansion Sector (2/2)

Lu Fengyi looked around the area and saw the multitude of sites that were displayed upon the shop fronts. Gravity Tales, Royal Road, Wuxiaworld... There were just too many sites that he recognised from his experience of browsing web novels.

Upon looking closely at the passing pedestrians, Lu Fengyi noticed that each of them had a folded letter within their hands and were rushing into the numerous shops at a quick pace. 'Too odd! Is this a dream? Even if it is, my imagination isn't wild enough to dream up such fantastical nonsense!' Lu Fengyi though to himself.

As Lu Fengyi finally reached the end of the road he had been strolling through, he was met with a large intersection, each corner dominated by equally imposing buildings. By now the trademark symbols were gleaming vividly above his head, however the angle in which he viewed the logos disallowed him from differentiating them from each other.

”Young lad! Are you lost?”

Lu Fengyi turned his head towards the direction of the voice and saw a man dressed like a traffic regulator, standing in the middle of the intersection waving towards him. Lu Fengyi jogged quickly over to the traffic regulator before standing straight and replying, ”I'm new to this place. Could you give me an explanation as to what I'm supposed to do?”

The traffic regulator pulled out an interface and scrolled quickly down what seemed like a register of names and profiles before stopping at Lu Fengyi's face and skimming through the details. After a short moment, the man nodded twice and began to direct Lu Fengyi, ”I see you're new around here. This is the centre of the 'Knowledge Expansion' sector which you can consider your 'lobby' for the recent future. I'm not authorised to tell you what you're meant to do, however I can let you in on some advice. For now, think of a text genre you enjoy.”

Lu Fengyi stood still for a while before answering, ”My favourite genre should be Eastern Fantasy. After all, I write about eastern fantasy all the time so it'd be weird if it wasn't my favourite.”

”Alright, head towards the tower on the right and reception should be able to take you up from there.”

Lu Fengyi quickly thanked the traffic regulator before striding into the building that the man had pointed out. He was met with a perfectly polished interior that far outstripped any hotel he had visited before, a pristine crystal sculpture of a large book in the centre of the hall and a wide reception desk, each of the receptionists either waiting attentively or serving a customer.

Lu Fengyi stepped up the the reception desk and the beauty with perfectly curled hair and a doll like face repeated what the traffic regulator had done earlier, pulling out an interface and scrolling through the profiles. ”Lu Fengyi, am I right?” the receptionist spoke out.

”Ahh, yes! May I know what I'm supposed to do?”

The receptionist pulled out a list of familiar novel names upon her interface before turning it around and directing a question towards Lu Fengyi, ”If you were to be integrated into one of these following worlds, which would you choose?”

Lu Fengyi peered at the interface carefully, scanning through the short list of novel names.

[ Against the Gods ]

[ Martial God Asura ]

[ Library of Heaven's Path ]

[ War Sovereign Soaring the Heavens ]

Lu Fengyi though for a long moment before answering, ”I would choose . . .”

The beauty clasped her hands together before forming a magic seal within her hands, ”A well selected choice! A subsidiary attendant will be waiting for you on the other side. Have a safe journey!”

The world, for Lu Fengyi, went dark once more.
