21 Its All About Surviving (2/2)
”Listen to me very carefully Takaki Naota, I promise to make you strong, maybe you will be even stronger than me when we get out of here but that is...If after 30 days you are still alive and breathing.” Tia says to Naota.
”What do you mean?” Naota questions with a surprise. Tia gives Naota a cold look. ”What I mean is...I am definitely not going to kill you, we will of course be training but the main effect of this training is survival and endurance.” The clouds begin to gather and a thunder strikes. ”The forest is filled with dangerous monsters. You will have to kill them and eat them or pluck some fruits from the trees but they could be dangerous or the trees might be the wild ones. I will never give you any of my food nor will I be giving you any kind of shelter here even if you ask me to, the only thing that I will give you is training like you asked me to.” The rain heavily begins to pour down on Naota and Tia.
”You understand right Naota? Our training will be a daily course of 6 hours but if you don't find food and try to push your limits than you will die from exhaustion. Of course there are other ways you can die too, eaten by a monster or a tree, starvation, drowning in some kind of a sea, cold weather. Oh by cold weather I just remembered to remind you, the weather of this forest changes every single day. So you will have to build different kind of shelter's every day.” Tia says with a smile.
”I appreciate everything you just told me and I will not bother you like you said and just like you said, I also only want to become stronger...So I will scavenge for stuff on my own.” Naota says. ”If that is what it takes to become stronger...I will take that risk...” Naota says as he clenches his palm. ”Good, tomorrow sharp at 10 am in the morning, your training begins. Until then, scavenge as much as you can to survive in this forest.” Tia says and vanishes from Naota's sight.
(She's fast...)
”So this is the forest that I need to survive huh...?” Naota says as he begins to walk in the rain. ”First I need to find a shelter for myself...Nah...More like build a shelter for myself. If it's just a rain, a two big leaves and everything will be alright but before that...I have to go hunt for food...” Naota keeps talking to himself.
(Good to know that he is at least not a dumb little idiot but he doesn't understand that this is no normal forest, vicious beasts are always looking for their prey and when they enter...The prey will die. After all...They are trying to survive too...So it's all about who is going to be the one standing at the end of it.)
Tia keeps an eye out on Naota from a distance.
At Mason's Inn,
”You think that Naota will be alright?” Maria seems to be concerned. ”Yeah, if the city lord is the one to take him than he will be alright but for now, we need to work on our strengths and weaknesses too. We aren't strong enough.” Grafali says to Maria. ”Where are we going Mr.Grafali?” Lily asks Grafali.
Grafali and other's stand in front of Mason. ”Train these kids will yah?” Grafali asks Mason. Mason sighs. ”Are you seriously going to do this?” Mason questions Grafali. ”Yes.” Grafali says with a determined look. Mason sighs again. ”Take care of the inn for me than, I will train both of these little ones.” Mason says as she goes in her back room. ”Follow me you two.”
”Jeez, why did I have to get stuck with the bar business...” Grafali seems sad.
At the forest,
Naota walks down a singular path until he sees water. ”Something seems odd about the water...” Naota says. Naota's eyes widen as soon as he see's two eyes pop out of the water.
(Is that an alligator? Nah, a croc? No...Something is odd about this one...It has...Wings...WHAT IS THAT THING?!)
