2 An Adventure In A New World Begins (1/2)
(Where am I?)
Is the first thing that Naota questions himself when he looks around at the green and beautiful grasses, the beautiful scenery of the dawn breaking, the trees which shake due to the wind, the pond which with beautiful water waves and then he finally looks at the muddy road.
Naota puts his right index finger under his chin and then curved to his left cheek and opened his thumb towards the right cheek while keeping the other fingers fold. He begins to observe the road. ”The roads seem to be the type of roads that villages in Japan would have.” Naota speaks to himself as he observes the road. He then touches the road. ”It's definitely a muddy road.” Naota says.
Naota hears a roar.
”Hmm?” Naota turns around and looks at a creature with two horns but it looks like a lion.
(A lion with horns? What kind of creature is that? Some kind of urban legend or something?)
The lion is staring at Naota angrily.
(Shit...Seems like it is hungry. One wrong move and I am dead.)
Naota takes a step back.
(I need to find that thing some kind of food.)
The lion roars loudly. Naota covers his ears while that he also covered his eyes. ”Damn that roar! It almost busted my ears.” Naota says to himself. Naota opens his eyes. His eyes widen has the lion begins to run towards Naota with the horns pointing right at him. ”Ah shit!” Naota turns his back and begins to run as quickly as possible.
(That thing is fast, I have to run...I have to run...Run faster...Faster then I have ever ran...)
That's when Naota see's a message pop up in a brown box.
(What's this?)
”Would you like to have the ability super sprint?” Says the message. Under the message, a text says, ”Ability points left: 1” and under that there were to options. Option one was, ”Yes.” Option two was, ”No.”
(What the hell? Where did this stuff pop out from?!)
Naota then see's to his left, he saw a bar there, it said exp. ”What the hell? Is this some kind of game?!” Naota seems to be confused with what is happening around him while running from a horned lion.
(Whatever the case, for now...Super sprint seems to be my only option to escape from here)
”Yes, I will have the ability super sprint.” Naota says. The option ”Yes” gets selected by a blink of two.
Suddenly, as Naota takes another step to run further, his speed ferociously increases. ”WOH!!!! THIS IS CRAZY!” Naota smiles as he gets away then suddenly, something strikes him.
(All this time...Didn't I want to die?)
Naota stops running and looks back. The lion seems to be far away from him but it definitely is still chasing him. Naota looks sad. ”This maybe a free world but...What really can I do here? At least in the world I was living in...I had someone I had to take care of...And protect...” Naota is reminded of his mother. He realises that he is quite alone in this world unlike the other one where his mother has always held his hand and he has made sure to protect her in anyways possible. That is the reason why he decided give himself to his step father.
Naota sighs. ”Guess I should just-”
Suddenly, Naota sees a horse coming towards him from his left. The horse was well healthy and had a golden armour around it's head. The horse hit Naota but it wasn't a big clash. The horse was stopped before anything bad could have happened to Naota.
