Chapter 173: The Pharaohs Curse 6 (1/2)

Julian was shocked after seeing the three artifacts.

‘Those artifacts are… Divine-Grade!’

They were Divine-Grade artifacts that would be ranked high among all Divine-Grade artifacts. They were artifacts that could not be tamed by regular people. Even he and the other Monarchs would find it difficult to subdue these artifacts.

But Ju-Heon had a firm grasp on these ferocious artifacts.

He couldn’t help but be awed.

‘His Dominance has gone up even higher than in the past.’

He could tell for sure after recovering his memories. It was not just his Dominance.

Ju-Heon’s skills in handling artifacts were much more stylish and had upgraded from the past. That was why Julian was happy, but well…

“Will you be okay? There seem to be a lot of dangerous auras.”

“It’s fine.”

“I guess there’s no point in worrying about you. You already know about this test anyway.”

“No, it’s not that.”

‘Huh?’

Julian started to frown but Ju-Heon just kicked a stone door by the wall instead of responding.

The door opened to reveal a vast desert. They could feel the intense desert heat. There was a dry sandy breeze as well.

The team members were shocked to see this environment.

”Why is such a place…?!”

Seol-A, who had come here in her past life with China, found this to be odd.

“There should be coffins here…! That’s how we cleared it.”

Ju-Heon remembered the same thing. He had not been able to go inside in the past because someone else came first, but this place had been a room full of coffins and treasure.

There were tens of golden coffins lined up in a large room and Ju-Heon had to find a special treasure inside. Of course, that required him to open the pharaohs’ coffins.

The people who opened the coffins would be cursed and die from illnesses.

Basically, the test was to survive the curses and find the treasure.

‘Well, we could get through here quickly if Chloe was here.’

She was a member of the tomb raiding team and basically the team’s personal doctor. She was an extremely skilled doctor. Anyway, the test seemed completely different than in the past.

”Do you think the future has changed?”

Ju-Heon chuckled after hearing Seol-A whisper.

‘No. That’s not the case.’

”These bastards. They have no thoughts about giving the test at all.”

Ju-Heon started to smirk.

That was right. This tomb had been created to get rid of him. There was no way they would create the test.

The team members became wary after realizing that fact.

However…

”Stop moving.”

“Excuse me?”

“You guys stay here and be my backup.”

Seol-A eyes opened wide.

“Excuse me? But we need to make them give the test…!”

”That method won't work. Furthermore, I am never going to do any of the tests that these arrogant artifact bastards create ever again.”

“Ex, excuse me? But…!”

“I'm going to kiss all of you if you guys move without my order.”

Yoo Jaeha started to swear and told him to hurry up and please go on his own, while Seol-A and Irene both tried to follow him before flinching.

The reason behind it was simple.

Since he said he would kiss all of them…

‘That means he’ll also kiss Irene…’

‘He’ll also kiss Miss Seol-A…’

The two of them decided 'whatever' and tried to help Ju-Heon, but Julian stopped them.

“Leave that artifactphile to deal with the artifacts. There’s something we need to do for him.”

He seemed to have felt some pity for Ju-Heon.

‘He might not show it, but he does seem to have some trauma.’

It wasn’t that his subordinates were weak.

Ju-Heon should know that better than anybody else, but he probably kept remembering what happened. He couldn't forget the things that happened in the final tomb.

It was a tomb where nothing they knew worked.

The image of his friends dying terrible deaths one by one was probably ingrained in Ju-Heon's head.

‘It’s probably even worse since his memory is better than most people.’

Seeing a tomb like this with that memory…

‘The aura alone says that is quite a dangerous tomb.’

It wasn’t as dangerous as that Crow's tomb, but the difficulty of this tomb has gone up significantly because of the Supreme Leader’s interference.

There was no way Ju-Heon would take his subordinates farther in with him.

‘He might not show it, but he cherished his subordinates a lot.’

He had just considered Ju-Heon to be a crazy son of a bitch prior to recovering his memories, but he could not tell.

There was a sword growing inside Ju-Heon's heart. That was the reason he did not just kill Chairman Kwon.

Why?

‘He won’t be satisfied with something so small.’

In fact, the power of wrath, the fact that Chairman Kwon was still alive, was probably the reason Ju-Heon could grow stronger so quickly.

Well, that old son of a bitch had an immortal armor so stabbing him over and over wouldn't kill him anyway.

Maybe that was the reason.

‘It looks like I need to help him find Chairman Kwon’s weakness.’

Julian said something as Ju-Heon started to walk toward the throne.

“Seo Ju-Heon. I don’t really care whether you die or not, but…”

“Vice Captain-nim!”

Yoo Jaeha was like, ‘what the hell, since when is he our Vice Captain?’ after hearing Seol-A shout.

He couldn't believe what he had just heard.

“I'm going to take all of your artifacts if you die.”

Ju-Heon became angry.

“Get lost. Do you think I would accept some bullshit about how you'll use it for the betterment of society or something?”

“Then be careful of what is under your foot.”

“I know without you having to tell me! You stupid idiot!”

The ground started to shake and something large popped out at that moment.

[You are not qualified to enter this tomb! You thieving bastard!]

Ju-Heon turned his head to see large snakes pointing their venomous fangs toward him.

[Get lost!]

[A bastard like you who has contracted with the Crow is not qualified to even take the test!]

The large snakes the pharaoh's were controlling flashed their eyes and charged toward Ju-Heon.

“Captain-nim!”

“Mr. Ju-Heon!”

As Irene and Seol-A, who was taking down a timed trap, were about to use their artifacts…

Boom!

[Aaaaaaaaaaaah!]

One of the large snakes was sliced in half and fell to the ground.

Ju-Heon was standing in front of the fallen snake with a large spear. It was an S-Grade artifact of the Khitan people. It was extremely destructive.

But Ju-Heon threw the spear away without any hesitation.
