Silence fell. He knew why Wen Yan didn't answer. Only a demonic cultivator could modify a corpse, much less control malevolent energy and mostly attack a Righteous sect and people of the Righteous sect.

All these, only a demonic cultivator could do.

”So you still don't know where is he?” Chen Sheng asked as he, Fei Lin and Xi Ling have afternoon tea on Xi Ling's herb garden. He remembered they still haven't told him where the hell is that Yu Sheng now.

Fei Yin isn't here since first, Xi Ling hates him so he's not welcome in Xi Ling's palace. Second, he thinks Chen Sheng hates him because of what happened this morning.

”Yes.” Xi Ling answered. ”That time when he woke up and wreaked havoc in the sect 15 years ago – ” he said. ” – the previous grandmaster, my uncle – Xi Peng, tried to catch his soul since it was halved, the power within that soul should also be halved. But...” he said, didn't continue.

”He managed to escape.” Chen Sheng continued for him.

They nodded.

”If it happened 15 years ago, then why did he appear just now?” he asked, remembered that horrible time when the Newfound Land and Newfound Sect was attacked, and Ming Ye and Luo Shi – who went back to the Newfound Sect with them that time, were injured.

”We don't know.” Fei Lin answered.

”8 years ago...” Chen Sheng muttered, then lowered his head. His face is dark.

”Sheng – ge...” Xi Ling called, didn't know what to say.

”For someone who can't cultivate after 8 years he entered a sect...” Fei Lin said. ”Of course, this unusual case we considered, too.” He said.

He considerately didn't say 'abnormal'. Chen Sheng mentally frowned.

Fei Lin continued. ”And so after we heard of your condition, we looked at your case. I personally know you, and heard from Yin-er that you've broken your soul and he was the cause.” He said. ”But... we were experts. Chen Sheng didn't answer.

Fei Lin looked at him. ”I already know you've already told Yin-er the truth.” He told him.

Chen Sheng just sighed and didn't answer.

Fei Lin continued. ”And so, we concluded that you could be Yu Sheng, not Chen Shen.” He said. ”We watched you the next years and, seeing that you aren't aware of your true identity, we concluded you're the other soul that escaped.” He finished.

”Sheng – ge.” Xi Ling called. ”Even though we already aware of who you are, we didn't come after you...” he told him.

”That's because you also know that Yu Sheng will come after me.” Chen Sheng said.

The two fell silent, confirming what he said is true. Chen Sheng didn't ask them more. He already knew.

If the Upright Sect approached him, the second young master of the Chens or a mere disciple of the Newfound Sect with low level cultivation, of course it'll arouse suspicion. And of course. Since this Yu Sheng is a scum, he'll found out the Upright Sect, and Chen Sheng – his other half soul that's missing.

Chen Sheng pursed his lips. ”What about your elders?” he asked.

”Uncle will be coming after I told him we've taken you.” Fei Lin answered. He's referring to the current head of the Fei family – Fei Huang.

Fei Huang is also the current sect leader.

Xi Ling nodded. ”My uncle and the other elders will be coming, too, after they make sure Yu Sheng won't be coming out for a while.” He told Chen Sheng. He's referring to his uncle – Xi Peng.

The elders of the sect are the ones keeping Yu Sheng in check if ever Yu Sheng appears, just like recently.

Chen Sheng just nodded. Up till now, he still hasn't fully digested, and accepted, he's just a portion of a soul of the former prodigal disciple of the famous sect, Upright Sect, who wreaked havoc and will be the master disaster of this world.

Thinking this, Chen Sheng felt a splitting headache again.

He drank his tea in one gulp.

A wooden puppet was sliced in half when a wave of purple light hit it. The man leaped when another wooden puppet raised its hand with a sharp sword. The other wooden puppets jumped on him. The man turned in mid – air and landed on his one feet.

Seeing more wooden puppets are closing on him waving their swords aimlessly, the man stomped his other foot lightly on the ground and flipped his body in the air, waving his sword at the same time. Three purple waves of light came out of the sword and dismembered all the wooden puppets, their body parts flying everywhere.

The man landed on the ground, not a crease on his clothes, just as the dismembered puppets fell down.

The man turned around when he heard voices talking. From the east courtyard, he saw three men walking out of the palace. They're walking into the direction of the stairs that's leading down the mountain.

His heart leapt and his face lit up when he saw the man wearing orange robe that's standing between the two other men. He was about to call him when he saw five figures mounted on their sword are flying to the direction of the three men.

”Hm? Right. Sheng – ge.” Xi Ling called after they saw the five men flying their way. ”I forgot to mention. You have visitors.” He told Chen Sheng.

”I can see that now.” Chen Sheng said and watched as the five men flew down not far from them.

”Welcome to the Upright Sect.” Fei Yin told them and stood straight, a smile on his face.

The newcomers bowed.

”Greetings, Elder Fei.” Sun Yi said, then turned to Xi Ling. ”Elder Xi.” he said, then turned to Chen Sheng. He smiled. ”Junior Brother Chen.” he said, smiling widely at Chen Sheng.

Wu Yuan just nodded to Chen Sheng, but not indifferent anymore.

”Ah Sheng!” Chen Han called, face as bright as the rising sun.

”Brother Chen!” Li Tian and Feng Mo called, delighted.

Chen Sheng looked at them and didn't answer. He turned to Xi Ling and Fei Lin. The two didn't answer and just waited.

He turned back to the five.

”Brother Chen...?” Li Tian and Feng Mo called, puzzled by his behavior.

”Ah Sheng...” Chen Han called, as puzzled as the others. ”... aren't you happy to see us?” he asked, voicing out their concern.

This time, the silent man decided to appear. ”It's not like he's not happy to see you all.” He said and walked towards them.

They turned to him.

”Brother Fei!” Li Tian and Feng Mo called.

”Hmph.” Chen Han said, indifferent, after seeing Fei Yin.

Sun Yi smiled. ”Junior Brother Fei.” He said and nodded.

”What do you mean by what you said?” Wu Yuan asked, dropping the niceties.

Fei Yin stopped when he reached them. He didn't answer and looked at Chen Sheng. Like Fei Lin and Xi Ling, he waited for Chen Sheng's action.

Chen Sheng took a deep breath and turned to the five. ”I'm not your little brother – ” he said and looked at Chen Han.

Chen Han's eyes went wide, shocked.

” – nor your brother – ” he said and turned to Li Tian and Feng Mo, referring to as their fellow disciple.

The two's eyes went wide, as shocked as Chen Han.

Chen Sheng looked at Sun Yi and Wu Yuan who fell silent, then turned to the shocked three. ”I'm not Chen Shen, nor Chen Sheng.” He told them, then took a deep breath. He looked at them in the eye and slowly but clearly said, four words that'll break their heart.

”I am Yu Sheng.”
