23 Day 22: The Scum Is Considerate (2/2)

Feng Mo respectfully bowed. ”Greetings, shifu. Founder.” He said and stood straight up.

Fang Wen nodded. ”Even though the sect is new, but we have enough training manuals for your soul and skills.” He continued, then paused. ”Did your parents already agree to this...?” he carefully asked and looked at Feng Mo. He of course already heard about the Feng family.

Feng Mo nodded. ”Yes, shifu.” He answered.

Fang Wen sighed, relieved. I don't want to have another young master to hide... he thought and accusingly glared at Xie Lan.

Xie Lan ignored him and just remained blank.

Fang Wen frowned at him, then turned to Feng Mo. ”Alright. Please return tomorrow at 10 in the morning. We'll have the official ceremony for the disciples.” He told him and smiled.

Feng Mo's face lit up and immediately nodded. ”Yes, shifu! Many thanks!” he said and respectfully bowed. His dream will come true now. He turned and bowed to Xie Lan. ”Many thanks, elder!” he said and stood straight up. ”This disciple will now take his leave!” he said.

Fang Wen nodded, smiling brightly.

Feng Mo then ran away, his face as bright as the sun. I have to tell this to Wu Bai! He thought, excited.

”That's right.” Fang Wen said, remembered something. He turned to Chen Sheng. ”Sheng – er... does your family also – ” he said.

But before he could continue, Li Tian called Chen Sheng. ”Brother Chen!” he yelled, waving happily at Chen Sheng as he ran towards him. ”Ah! Shifu! Founder!” he exclaimed, surprised, when he saw the two. He immediately bowed. ”Sorry for the misconduct – ” he said and lowered his head.

Fang Wen nodded, then glanced at Chen Sheng. He already knew Li Tian is an orphan. But as to Chen Sheng... he just knew it after Fei Yin told them earlier.

Chen Sheng is the second young master of the Chen family who are the biggest supporter of the Promising Sect.

Black lines appeared on his face. What's with the second generation young masters' problem with their sect? Fang Wen thought, then sighed. ”Tian – er. Sheng – er.” He called. ”Your founder and I have something to discuss and also need to prepare for tomorrow's ceremony.” He told the two. ”If you've encountered problems, just knock on my door. Alright?” he said.

The two nodded and bowed. ”Yes, shifu!” they answered.

Fang Wen nodded. He then glared at Xie Lan and pulled him away, frowning.

Xie Lan just let him be. His 'wife' is mad, so the husband should comply to whatever the wife wants. (Xie Lan is so sweet to his oblivious wife XD)

Li Tian looked puzzled, but Chen Sheng called him and asked how their guest is.

”Ah. He's still on your room.” Li Tian answered.

There were still lots of rooms left that's why Li Tian was surprised when Chen Sheng took their guest to his room last night. Chen Sheng explained he'll personally nurse their savior, so Li Tian didn't ask anymore.

Fei Yin lifted his head when the door opened. His heart skipped a beat when he saw 'Chen Shen', but to immediately sank a second later when he saw 'Chen Shen's blank face.

”Brother Chen...” Fei Yin called. This guy in front of him is now 'Chen Sheng', not 'Chen Shen'. He told his heart.

”So shifu and founder accepted you.” Chen Sheng just said and poured tea on the cup.

Li Tian is just watching the two.

Fei Yin nodded. ”They said my strength will be of great asset for the sect.” he explained.

Chen Sheng didn't answer, clearly knew of this.

Silence fell.

It was Li Tian who broke the unbearable silence between the two. ”Brother Fei. Welcome to the sect.” he told Fei Yin and bowed.

Fei Yin nodded and returned his bow. He then turned to Chen Sheng. ”What are you going to do today? I'll accompany you.” He told him. ”I'm already fine...” he added.

Chen Sheng didn't answer and just drink the tea.

It was Li Tian who answered. ”Brother Chen and I will go around the Newfound Land, both patrolling and looking for more recruits.” He explained. He looked at Chen Sheng, waiting to react.

But Chen Sheng didn't so he lowered his head.

Fei Yin nodded. ”I'll go with you.” He said and fixed his green robe embroidered with swirling patterns on the edges.

Li Tian stared at him in awe. ”Brother Fei... you're a young master?” he asked and looked at Fei Yin, curious.

”No.” Fei Yin answered. ”I just stole this while I'm on my way here. Lucky, aren't I?” he asked and smiled.

Li Tian immediately nodded. ”Yes!” he answered, already deceived. Just like that, Li Tian thought Fei Yin is also an orphan like him.

Chen Sheng couldn't help but sigh on Li Tian's misfortune. ”Let's go.” He told the two and went out of his room first.

The two nodded and followed him.

Promising Sect.

”Ah Shen...” Chen mother cried because their second son left them.

”Don't worry, mom.” Chen Han told them. ”I'll definitely find him and bring him back!” he said. ”How dare he leave his beloved brother – ” he said, mad.

The Chen family looked at him, disappointed. So he's going to retrieve Ah Shen for himself? They thought, already knew the first son is an ultimate brocon.

Though no one can blame him, since the entire family dotes on the young son – the elder son included.

The Chen father nodded. ”Please do.” He told his son. Even if he doesn't show it, but he's as doting as anybody in their family towards Chen Shen.

That's why it's unbearable that their favorite son fled away.

”Mom and dad wants to find Ah Shen, too.” Chen mother said, referring to Chen grandparents. ”But... they're in closed – door cultivation right now...” she said, then sighed.

Chen Han is aware of this. His parents can't leave and find Chen Shen with him since no one will look after the family if they'll leave because the two oldies are in closed – door cultivation.

”I understand.” Chen Han said and nodded.

And thus begins his brother – hunting adventure.

Upright Sect.

”Elder Fei. Greetings.” The disciples greeted when they walked past him.

Fei Lin just nodded at them and walked towards the old man standing at the pavilion, looking at the waterfalls.

”Greetings, Uncle.” Fei Lin said and bowed. He looked at the back of the old man facing him.

Fei Huang turned to him, his face cold. ”Lin – er.” He said. ”Congratulations on being an elder.” He told him, referring to him breaking to the Nascent Soul Stage thus making him qualified to be an elder of the sect.

”Many thanks, Uncle.” He said and smiled.

His uncle is the leader of the Upright Sect. He's also the head of the Fei family. Fei Lin and Fei Yin's father, the previous sect leader and family head, had died together with his wife – their mother.

And so it's their uncle, Fei Huang, is taking care of them.

”Your younger brother has a talent, too.” Fei Huang said, referring to Fei Yin. ”But...” he said, gritting his teeth.

Fei Lin smiled. Obviously, their uncle already found out of Fei Yin's disappearance.

”You know him. He'll come back once he finds what he's looking for.” He told his uncle. ”Just let him stretch his wings and fly. He's still young.” He added, referring to Fei Yin.

Fei Huang just humph – ed and didn't answer. Fei Lin smiled.

Fei Yin: .... Why is that old man here?

Fei Huang: ... you'd better get back here now –

Fei Lin: he won't. Now that he's with the one he loves - *smiles

Fei Huang: *to Fei Lin. You know what's happening to your brother?!

Fei Lin: of course, since he's my brother. *laughs

Fei Yin: *face blank
