99 Disaster in Goldcave (2/2)

Trevon wouldn't want to become a speck of blood in the Debt Collector's story. [I must find a way out.]

The fallen bodies started to attack. With a Rank 2 fallen body led the fight. It was a hard fight.

Ramos took the burden of fighting with the Rank 2 fallen body. It was balanced so far. The fallen body didn't have any ability. She could only bite and scratch. While Ramos was weaker than the former elder.

Trevon himself took the Top Rank 1 fallen body who fought with Ramos before. This added the burden to Avia and Gazel to fight the rest. Luckily, most were weak common people.

”Heoheoheo!” The Debt Collector happily watched the fighting. He hid behind the fallen bodies.

”Fight me if you dare!” Trevon tried to taunt the Debt Collector. He dodged an attack before using the useless sword slash.

”Fight you? Not interested. I am not a fighter. Heoheoheo.”

[Isn't the main character, usually a hot-headed?] Trevon wondered.

”Is he?” Master Rabbink asked with an annoyed tone.

The Rabbink felt it was annoying. It needed to slow the time when Trevon's side and the Debt Collector talked with each other. Simultaneously, the Rabbink had to make it normal when they fought.

[I also can't find random passersby here.] Master Rabbink also complained.

[Gah! What should I do to go from here?] Trevon kicked the fallen body in front of him.

”Erm... You can break the formation.”

[How could I do that? If I could, I would have broken it already!!!] Trevon felt angry. He took another blazing talisman from his storage ring.

Trevon's anger was understandable. Breaking a formation was hard. One had to use a compass and made some complicated calculations to find a formation weakness. Then they had to attack that weakness. Failing to hit the correct place might even invite danger if the formation contained smaller counter formations.

Yet to calculate, one would need to know the formation, the material used to make the formation flags, the flag positioning, and the spiritual movement in the area. Understanding the last was the hardest. Land, air, living beings, and many more were involved.

Trevon threw the blazing talisman toward the fallen body which he had kicked. Since the fallen body was a weaker rank to him, it wasn't hard. The young master even could help Avia and Gazel by throwing some extra blazing talismans toward the weaker fallen bodies. However, their stamina kept depleting while fallen bodies weren't.

”You can always make a weakness in the formation. You have 'Weakness Scan' skill, right?” Master Rabbink said.

[That works?] Trevon felt dumbfounded. [That is cheating. Hehehe.] He loved that word.

”Yes. However... Wait!!!” Master Rabbink hadn't finished its explanation. However, Trevon had kicked the fallen bodies far away. He ran into the black dome and used his Weakness Scan skill. Some red glowing appeared on the formation.

[F*CK!!!] Trevon felt crazy. He had made the formation weakness, but it made him lose eighty percent of his spiritual energy. This sudden drop made him feel lightheaded.

He looked at the fallen body which had started to regenerate. [I will turn into a fallen body. If I fall here. I am still a virgin. I can't end this way. I still haven't met my fiancée.] Trevon resolutely grabbed his sword. It felt very heavy.

[I have to do it!] Trevon looked at the red glow which started to fade. He raised his Dark Demon Slayer and stab it with his last energy.

”Prang... Prang... Prang...” The dark dome, which covered the Melody Cave, replaced with the beautiful light blue color from the moss. Trevon could see the cave ceiling again.

”Hahahaha.” Trevon laughed. He saw many passersby looked shocked at the broken formation. He took some spirit recovery pills and ate them.

”Impossible!” The Debt Collector looked into Trevon. ”My formation can't be destroyed this easily.” His hoarse fake voice was filled with shock and disbelief.

People had gathered outside the barrier trying to touch the dome. The black dome had blocked the only main street in Goldcave's mining hole area, the Spiraling Middle Road. This made people gathered around to check the strange barrier.

”AAAAAAA!!!!” A fallen body attacked a random passerby.

”Heeeeeeelp!!!” People started to scream. ”Heeeeeeelp!!!”

[Sh*t!] Trevon felt it was crazy. Many people were around the formation checking it. However, their curiosity turned into a disaster. The fallen bodies attacked the random passersby.

”Run!”

”Run!” People shouted. Some people fall into the attack.

”What are you doing? This formation would prevent innocent people to get attacked.” The Debt Collector looked into Trevon. ”You have just released a disaster in the city. Innocent people would be killed by this. Sh*t!” The Debt Collector jumped into one of the buildings.

”What? You can't control them? You are the one who summoned them! Remove them!” Trevon felt those children of God really had something wrong with their head. He kicked a fallen body near him back before jumped toward a higher building.

”Run! Run! Run!” Trevon shouted. ”If you get even a scratch, you will turn into those monsters!” He shouted using spiritual energy. At the same time, the young master activated even more talismans to stop the fallen bodies.

Some brave warriors were about to fight those fallen bodies. However, Trevon's warning made they retreated. Nevertheless, some unlucky one had fought and got some scratches. They would turn into a fallen body later.

Avia and Gazel also jumped with Trevon. With many targets, the number of fallen bodies which chased the girls were reduced greatly. While fallen bodies were powerful, they couldn't move as fast as a human.

”There are people who get attacked.” Ramos still fought the powerful Rank 2 fallen body.

”Chase the Debt Collector! It will be over if he is stopped.” Trevon shouted.

”Where is he?” Gazel and Avia shouted.

[Gah?!! He is gone.] Trevon couldn't see the Debt Collector. Once he removed his mask and robe, it would be hard to find the attacker again.

”Young Ladies, run to the family castle!” Ramos didn't want to keep fighting the fallen body. He needed to save his family while this fight would never end.

”Fine.” Avia and Gazel looked to each other, they jumped into the middle road and ran toward the bottom. They ran while Trevon followed them. Trevon was still lightheaded from a sudden loss of massive spiritual energy. He followed the girls while shouting the people to run.

”Run! Run! Run!” He and the girls shouted while ran on the middle of the road. People quickly escaped seeing them run.

[Wait! Wait! Wait! Where am I going?] Trevon looked where the girls take him. They chased Ramos, who had run faster than them.

”Wait!” He shouted. ”This is into the mine floor!”

”Yes! We will have the family's palace guards to protect us down here!” Avia shouted while still ran.

”Those places are already gone.” Trevon said while following the girls. [Why did I follow those girls? Sh*t! I start to get the main character's syndrome.]

”Eh?” Gazel and Avia stopped. However, Ramos already went deep into the mine.

”Huf! Huf! Huf!” Trevon finally could stop. ”The debt collector's aim is your family. He would make a formation to block your family castle.”

”We have to see with our eyes.” Avia was stubborn. From outside the barrier was camouflaged.

”Yes, Sister.” Gazel nodded.

Trevon looked behind toward the higher ground. He saw some fire and heard the scream because of fallen bodies on the Spiraling Middle Road above them.

[This is a disaster.] Trevon felt a bit of remorse. However, this had already happened. He needed to run away from that dome.

”This Rabbink wanted to remind you that.” Master Rabbink was about to mention the risk when Trevon broke the formation.

Trevon felt angry with himself. He had made lots of problems. Yet, this was a scale that he had never imagined before.

”What should I do?” Trevon blurted.

”Young Master, please ask help from other families! We have to go back to our family to check it with our own eyes.” Avia and Gazel looked into Trevon. Trevon actually wanted to ask Master Rabbink but the twins answered instead.

”Yes. I have to ask for help.” Trevon did what a young master could do. He had to ask his family for help.

Gazel and Avia nodded to each other before they jumped into the buildings down into the mine chasing Ramos, leaving Trevon alone.

Cultivator was better than common people, they could move using the rooftop. While normally cultivators were forbidden to walk on the rooftop, the situation was no longer normal.

Trevon tried to use his 'Core Management' skill, but he couldn't use that. Many fights happened in the city and made the spiritual energy in the air chaotic.

Trevon looked into the high mine wall above him and the tall coarse buildings behind him. He ran into an alley and jumped toward a wall.

He used the jumping impact to jump higher until he reached the top of a building on the other side of the road. From the top, he could see the smoke of destruction ahead and smell the debris and smoke.

[I have to ask my family's help. The elder will know what to do.] That was his idea.

He saw a slightly taller building in front of him. He used his spiritual energy to boost his jump and jumped toward it. Above Trevon was safe from the fallen body. He just needed to jump toward the exit and called some help.

Trevon found another taller building and repeated the same method. The next building was slightly lower, he directly used his spiritual energy to make a long jump.

Other than him, Trevon also saw some cultivators do the same thing. All wanted to escape the mine and the unkillable monster.

However, common people couldn't run away. They could only close their doors and hoped it was enough. Some smart one climbed the building while destroyed the stairs.

Nevertheless, while this kept the smart people safe, this would cause disaster for other people on the ground. Those people on the ground couldn't go higher with destroyed stairs. While the fallen bodies kept coming. People would become cruel in the face of a disaster.

Trevon could only sigh. [I don't think this will become this way. Why the Debt Collector couldn't stop it? He did that in Hillbridge.] He continued to jump from one building into another.

Master Rabbink knew on Earth, people would call Trevon's action as parkour. However, different from Earth's parkour expert, Trevon as a Peak Rank 1 warrior could jump a longer distance. Sometimes he could jump over an entire shorter building. The flat rooftop of these cheap buildings also made thing easy for people to jump from one building into another.

Trevon still jumped toward the mine. While it was easier to go down, jumped outside was a bit more tiring. Trevon took around ten minutes to get near the top.

[Almost there.] Trevon saw that he was getting close to the outside. He saw a tall building which he could use as a jumping platform to make a further jump. The young master jumped toward it.

”BRAK!”

”Auch!” Trevon touched his pained face, especially his nose. He bumped into something invisible.

[Sh*t? What is this?] Trevon touched a transparent jelly, but it will be firm when he pressed it. [Don't tell me this is that formation! Is this another the place of Ironlaw family?]

Trevon didn't see many people around. This was the reason he bumped on the invisible formation.

[Perhaps, they have heard the accident below.] Trevon thought. He was about to pass the formation when he saw a black-robed person in an iron mask exited the formation.

”Trevon McArthur?” The hoarse fake voice of the debt collector stopped Trevon from running away.

[Oh, God! He remembered me. Why should I meet him again?] Trevon wanted to cry.

”Good! Finally, I get the chance to kill you with my hand. Heoheoheo.” The Debt Collector pulled a sword from his robe. Trevon hadn't seen the debt collectors used a weapon in Hillbridge.

Trevon looked around. He needed to pass the Debt Collector if he wanted to go outside. [Sh*t! Defeat him and everything over!] The young master raised his sword again.
