The next morning, Alisha was surprised to find that Rainer was awake before she arrived.
”Good morning, Young Master, you're up early today.”
”Good morning Alisha, I have stuff to do now and the faster I do it, a lot better.”
”Goodbye, Alisha.”
”Y-Young Master? I've cooked breakfast”
”I'll eat it later.”
After saying goodbye to Alisha who was pouting, Rainer headed to the clan's reunions chamber.
By now all the clan elders would be gathered to talk about the ritual results.
Rainer came into the chamber after he was given permission.
”Good morning Rainer, what brings you here?” Said Zin, the head of the clan.
”I'm sure he's coming to complain about Yren's marriage, these youths can't do anything by themselves.”
”Yeah, that girl belongs to the clan and her fate will also be decided by the clan.”
One after the other,elders began to reprimand Rainer without even letting him open his mouth.
Furious, he yelled at the elders.
”Shut the f*ck up, you old farts! I'm sick of your bullshit chatter!”
Since yesterday, Rainer felt that his blood would boil easily and it was difficult for him to keep it under control.
”But what's wrong with me? Is it a secondary effect?” Rainer thought as he watched the elders with their mouths open in surprise, after all Rainer had always been like an erudite, a smart and reserved guy, no one imagined that he would offend the elders as if they were nothing.
”How dare you squirt!”
”We should cut out his tongue, so he'll learn to respect his elders! The elders quickly responded with their own threats.
”Quiet, all of you!” Everyone was silent after the shout of the clan head.
”What is the reason for your visit, Rainer?”
”This is the reason, head of the clan.” After Rainer finished talking, a shadow slid across the floor high-speed.
”I present to you my spiritual beast,she is a Corrosive Snake.”
An elder approached quickly with a sphere of crystal and examined her.
”It's the truth, she' s a 1st Rank Corrosive Snake.”
After the examination, the elder announced the results.
”Well, it was impossible that my brother's son would not be able to summon his spiritual beast, even though he' s a 1st rank, a Guardian still being a Guardian.”
”Deliver this to the warehouse and you will have your resources just like everyone else.” Zin gave Rainer a scroll with the seal from the clan's head on it.
”But Head of the clan, it's a miserable 1st Rank, wouldn't it be a waste of resources if he used it?”
Said an elder who was insulted and wanted to teach Rainer a lesson.
”Doesn't your grandson have a 1st Rank beast too? I seem to remember it's a Horned Beetle, nothing special.”
”But...”
”No buts, here we treat Guardians as they deserve.A beast's rank is only informative,master's effort is far more important.”
”Even if a beast is a 6th Rank, if his master doesn't bother to cultivate, that beast will be a mere pet.”
All the rest of the elders were silent because the head of the clan was absolutely right. A rank only shows the potential and not the strength of a spiritual beast.
”Thank you, Clanhead.”
After thanking his uncle, Rainer vanished from the reunions chamber, leaving behind the elders who were still digesting their breakfast and news.
”This clan is rotten to the core.As soon as I gain enough strength I'm getting out of here with Alisha,I don't owe any to the clan.” Rainer muttered as he approached to the Clan' s warehouse.
What Rainer didn't know about was that a shadow had been watching him since he left his bedroom.
After he entered the warehouse, Rainer went directly to the counter and handed the scroll his uncle gave him to the receptionist.
