30 First Trial (1/2)
The outer perimeter was not a place for high level magical beast to appear into, the higher level magical beasts are usually in the depths of the mountains making the neutral area a ”safe zone” for the youths in it. Human activities filled the outer perimeter of the forest, many people started lighting up their own fires to light up their surroundings.
”Dean, let's stick together.” To-qe requested.
”Sure why not.” Dean nodded his head, 1000 people disperse and went to find their own places for them to stay in many chose to stay in the outer most part of the forest but some chose to go deeper in the mountains.
With the starlight helping them to see where they were, Dean and To-qe also chose to go deeper, different light from different sources flickered here and there some use normal flames as a light and some used valuable artifacts such as ”Light Sphere” to illuminate the way.
”Let's go deeper in, I wasn't able to bring any rations so I need to hunt for some food after we find a spacious area to set up camp, we'll also have an advantage when the trial starts at dawn, we will be able to leave earlier than the others.” To-qe said as he observe the surrounding area.
”Alright, but you don't have to go hunt I brought some rations with me, let's just find an open area faster I need to eat now I am starving.” The hunger in Dean was beginning to become more and more frequent to the point where his appetite was twice as large compared to before.
After roaming around Dean and To-qe were able to find a good place, gathering the woods and starting a fire by hand To-qe did this efficiently without any wasted movements like he had been used to it for a long time, ”I frequently roam around since I was a child so I am used to doing this.” To-qe notice the ay Dean looked at his movements so he gave a simple explanation to him.
Dean showed an understanding face and started taking out 3 oil wraps of meat from a bag that he was carrying with him, opening the oil wrap To-qe saw the thick slices of meat that can feed a normal person for a week.
Giving one of the meat to To-qe and divided the one of the meat by half Dean passed it down to To-qe and started eating, To-qe took a big bite and of the meat letting the juices of it explode in his mouth all of a sudden.
The savory and juiciness of the meat was fantastic, he had never eaten something like this before, before eating this meat the best thing that he had was a grilled meat of certain magical beast that he had at one time, but this meat was truly tastier and delicious than anything that he had eaten before.
He closed his eyes and savored the taste of the meat, then as he ate the meat slowly he heard Dean suddenly moved near him turning his head he asked ”Where are you going? Are you going to cultivate already? Eat first the meat you gave me is delicious, it would be a waste to waste it so finish it first.”
”No I won't be going to cultivate for now, I will be going to hunt some rabbits or a deer here or a level 1 magical beasts around here.” The wind blew and Dean felt the hunger in his body was starting to appear once again so he dashed in the forest looking for an animal to be preyed upon.
To-qe didn't understand what he was saying, but he felt that Dean was giving a weird feeling he ignored it and just went back to eating. Not long after Dean went back there carrying 6 rabbits that were already skinned and gutted the rabbits were even skewered, placing it by the fire to be cooked he saw cross-legged and with his eyes close.
