39 Helping out some Orphans (1/2)
After walking around for another half an hour with Tsunade nothing too major happened, and her personality seemed to stabilize... for now at least. We walked past a couple stores with some clothes in them, and she pointed them out because she wanted me to get something that would blend in better. I decided against it, I'm already out in the fucking open in this world and if If I die I want it to be while I am comfortable at least. So I am not saying goodbye to T-shirts, Jeans, tennis shoes, socks, and most importantly my boxer briefs.
I forget that this world isn't that advanced sometimes, like apparently there are no bra's and girls either wrap them up here or just let em swing free... wait, Tsunade doesn't wrap them up though, yet they stay in place? What the fuck does she do then? Wait, losing track, main point was their underwear fucking sucks. Like they are the most loose pieces of shit I have ever seen, they are like pajama bottoms and have a draw string, but that's not the worst, it itches! I'll stick to elastic and Nylon/Cotton thank you very much.
So after I got Tsunade away from the stores she took us the rest of the way to the orphanage which was in a surprisingly nice part of town, but once I saw it, it was clear to tell that it wasn't taken care of as well as some of the other buildings. Whether that is because they lack money or if it's because well, kids make a mess. After we walk up to the building Tsunade knocked on the rather large door that had some scratch marks on it (Were some zombies trying to get in or something?).
A young lady, about Tsunade's height opens up the door, though unlike Tsunade she has brown hair tied back into a ponytail, blue eyes, and she looks thinner. She almost immediately jumps out and hugs Tsunade, ”Tsunade! I haven't seen you in awhile! How are you doing!” Oh she is going to be bubbly. I should get myself mentally prepared for this. As I was trying to brace myself from her inevitable onslaught she let go of Tsunade once receiving a suitable response from her and turned to me.
She went up to be about half a meter away from me and looked me over from the front, then moved around to the back, lifted up my arms to look at my armpits? ”Umm, do you need something?”
She seemed to have forgotten that I was alive and looked at me before blinking her eyes a couple times, ”Ah shoot! I'm sorry! I just did what I usually chastise the children for... Uh, I am Lemi (A/N: Yeah I suck at names. I mean the main character is named after myself after all...) and I want to welcome you to the orphanage I help run! You are welcome inside since you're a friend of Tsunade but don't hurt the kids or I'll hurt you. Or well have Tsunade do it, she was a lot stronger than me after all~” Not a single thing about why she was investigating me, huh? Well I can tell that this is going to be a long day.
I smile, or well try to but probably fuck it up again knowing me, making her raise an eyebrow and look at me with an eyebrow raised. She doesn't persist too long though and soon she turns around and drags Tsunade into the Orphanage with me following close behind. I make sure to close the door behind me though since I can imagine how bad it'd be if it was still open later.
While following them around I can see a few kids running around and playing with a couple of them sitting and reading books, one of which is a young girl, about 5 or so, going and reading to some kids that are her age and younger. I wonder what she is reading to them, probably something about princesses or something like that, heh. I move closer and when I see the name of the story I frown, it's 'How to throw a Kunai'.
This fucking world and it's ninja's. If I become Hokage I'm going to need to change this aren't I. I mean kids should be kids, not training to be ninja. Like don't get me wrong, it's fine to want to go and get better, but I remember reading something that training kids from a certain age and below is only detrimental to their health and upbringing. Hm, maybe I should go and do something for these kids that doesn't involve being a ninja?
While I was looking at the kids Tsunade suddenly came from my side and grabbed me, dragging me along to a kitchen where that girl was before, what was her name? Lemi! That's right. I can tell my memory is getting better, but it's still not perfect.
”You guys got just in time to help me entertain the kids, well unless you want to go and cook instead since it's getting close to their dinnertime.” Hm? It's their dinnertime? Huh, well I do enjoy cooking...
I go and say the idea I just came up with, ”I can cook if that's fine, and maybe I could show some kids how to cook a little bit too.” I mean I learned by watching my mother and grandmother cook, I even basically recreated one of my great grandmother's recipe's from scratch. To be fair it wasn't too hard since it was basically breading pork chops.
She thinks about it for a moment before smiling, ”Well sure! Tsunade isn't too good at cooking so maybe you can show her a bit too! I can a good amount of the kids on my own so I'll send the older ones to help~ Good luck~!” Wow she is carefree. She just started leaping off into the other room.
Well lets see, ”Tsunade, how many kids are there anyway?” After I asked her she froze for a minute and started counting on her hands, but she realized that wasn't working so she started running back towards Lemi to ask.
Once she got back she finally gave me a number, ”There are 59 kids, 4 of which have an allergy to... peanuts! Yeah that was the allergy! Well if something happens I can take care of it, I have confidence in my medical skills at the least!” Well I don't think I'll make something that uses peanuts, hm... I'm feeling inspired to go and make the great grandma's porkchops now. System, how many pork chops, eggs, oil, breading, and seasoning can I get for 1 SP. Also throw in some potatoes and milk, I'll make some mashed potatoes to go with it, and some apple sauce to go with the pork chops! Am I forgetting anything? Oh yeah! A large pot!
'Host can get 1 ton of pork for 1 SP, 2 million eggs for 1 SP, 1 SP for 1 industrial size oil, 1 SP for industrial size breading, 1 SP for various seasonings across worlds in 20 LB containers. For host's other order, 1 SP for 10 tons of potatoes, 1 SP for industrial size milk, and host may purchase gigantic set of cooking utensils and pots and pans for 3 SP.'
So 10 SP in total? Did you up the price on those pots and pans on purpose to be 3?
'Negative. Informing host these are top of the line, they retain heat more efficiently, heat up more quickly, are nigh unbreakable, and are incapable of harming when touching the outside. Also informing host, these have stacking enchantments added to them so if host makes 10 items it would take the same appearance as a single item, and if host adds something to the item the added thing is spread across all 10 items.'
Huh, so is 10 the default?
'It is whatever host wishes it to be, 1, 2, 23, 100, 10k(A/N: I was going to do 10,000 but realized the commas would be horrible looking.). It is whatever host wishes.'
Huh, well I will go and get all of it then. By the way, can I just extract the liquids from the containers without bothering with pulling the containers out? I feel it'd be a pain in the ass to go and pull out all that oil.
'Affirmative'
